Saviour for Inflamed Skin

Absolutely reduced the redness and burning feeling on my cheeks after being out in the sun all day with inflamed face (Yes, it was stupid of me). Water, gel-like texture feels thin and easily absorbed. My skin already had problems days before this - super dry and scaly, red all over and painful - but after spending hours on the beach, it became worse (of course). I tried using Virgin Coconut Oil, didn't work, try to search for something else and found HOLIKA HOLIKA 99% Aloe. It has minimal ingredients and no alcohol which is exactly what I need. Does a great job at reducing inflammation. It does not moisturize my skin as much as I'd like, but it calms my skin so much I'm thinking of getting a bigger bottle after this.

A part of my routine forever

I am so happy to have been recommended this by a friend. It definitely exceeded my expectations. My skin type is combination and acne-prone, I have lots of red acne scars and small bumps. The gel really helps in terms of giving the skin a boost of hydration that does not cause greasiness. In fact, I would nearly say even though it moisturises, it leaves a dry feeling behind so it should be followed up with a cream. I use it as the second last step, before moisturiser. I find that it is useful to put on a thin layer, pat it in and put another one rather than put a thick layer on. I use it AM and PM most of the time, it doesn't "agree" with some of my foundations so if I am to use them I leave it out in the morning. My face feels very calmed after its use and there is definitely less redness. Since I started using it regularly my skin texture improved a little, and I had not had changed any other product at the time so I can certainly attribute it to the gel. I feel like this product can vary in terms of its effect, something which I still haven't fully understood- one time I put it on as part of my PM routine after not using it for a while and I had an "overnight miracle effect"- my skin was brighter and smoother. Then other times, despite regular use the effect is a little slower. I am still working out if it works better when I leave my skin a little moist or when it is dry. It is not an acne fighting gel by definition so I did not expect it, it doesn't influence it too much although it does help calm it a small bit. When a breakout appears it is not as offensively yellow. For its price, it is honestly worth a try for any skin type. The hype is definitely justifiable. One fallback is the packaging is very fragile- but this review concerns the effect on the skin so I am not taking away stars for that :)

I can't live without this

This is not a product to replace your cream or serum, IT IS A PLUS ON YOUR ROUTINE, I've seen differences since I use this (better texture, more plumping and bright skin), I use it after my toner and before my serum and it works so good. I've been using this product for more than a year and I still loving it.
