my favorite mask

I love this mask! I use it once or twice a week if I feel like my skin is dull. I have dry and dehydrated skin and this exfoliator removes dead skin cells without over drying my face. After using it, my skin is soft and noticeably brighter. It also does not agitate my problem areas. For some reason, this helps with my acne even though there are no ingredients that indicate acne-fighting. I will continue using this product.

My favorite wash off mask

My thoughts on the Skinfood black sugar mask
Love is in the air. This is a must have in my routine and I use it once or twice a week, depending if I use a chemical peeler or not. My skin loves this product and I feel moisturized and soft as a baby’s butt after using it. I used to make my own sugar scrub with milk, honey, sugar and olive oil. But this is better. If I keep using it twice a week my skin doesn’t become flaky and I can’t see any dry patches. When having dry skin it is really important to exfoliate due to that you get rid of the harsh dry patches and you let the product you put on afterwards actually penetrate the surface.

I would not recommend using this if you are in the middle of a break out, due to that it can actually spread the bacteria instead. Instead use it after or before.

Cult favorite but not for me

I wanted to love this product and my skin felt much smoother and softer after use but I broke out into lots of little pimples across my entire face i a few days after use which was very disappointing. Each time I use this product my skin reacts the same way so unfortunately this is not the product for me. This product is definitely too harsh for sensitive skin as the sugar crystals are abrasive and it may cause breakouts such as my experience.
