it is pretty gentle, the effect is not so impressive. It does make my skin looks smoother but not as shiny as other serum. This one is not for acne treatment as it's too subtle. As it also contains silicone, after applying, it leaves a little bit shiny looks because of silicone. All in all, it would be great for beginners and young people .those who wants anti-aging effect and overall skin texture or acne treatment, then you'll need another serum

As a beginner who first time trying to tolerate retinol into my skincare routine, this retinol works well on my skin. even though i dont see any improvement yet on my skin, but so far it doesn't give irritations and redness. let's give it 4 to 6 months to see the actual result.

I have large pores that i wanted to reduce, along with fine lines and dull looking skin.
I use this every other night or every 2 nights.
It has done wonders for my skin and pores. ive used this for over a month and My problem areas have been sorted by 80% with this product. I dont remember the last blackhead i had? my pores look smaller, skin tone more even and skin texture has improved.

I havent noticed much difference in the pores on my cheeks or the lines on my forehead, but i will continue to use. i may need something stronger for that.
only negative for me is that it was a little drying? when this happens, i just space the days out abit untill dryness has gone.
I do love this product and will reccomend it to anyone to try.

I started using this product to help my skin's sensitivity to prescription retinol products. I have had some bad experiences with prescription retinols in the past but need the benefits now more than ever so I thought I'd work my way up. I don't know the efficacy of this - as I am not a dermatologist, but I felt it couldn't hurt to ease my skin into them. I've only been using this product every other night for a little over a month now (I use Niancinamide from The Ordinary on the other nights) and this product (in combinaton w/ Niancinamide) has done WONDERS for my blackheads and hormonal acne - even my fine lines have receded some. The texture of my skin is smoother and more supple. I'm 22 and have just recently become more concerned with preventative/anti-aging, and this retinol hits every mark! It has not irritated my (incredibly sensitive, pale, freckled) skin at all. No redness or dryness. It absorbs quickly and smells a bit like oatmeal if you're into that. I will be moving to nightly application soon since there has been zero bad side effects. I highly recommend this product for sensitive/acne-prone/combination skin, especially if you have had bad experiences w/ products like this in the past. Be sure to remember your daily SPF and moisturizer - as always!
