HG for übersensitive dehydrated skin

Look no further. This is THE moisturizer for us hypersensitive, "everything-gives-me-dermatitis-or-hives" types. As long as you don't have an allergy/negative reaction to one of its 10 INGREDIENTS (!), La Solution 10 de Chanel may very well be the solution to your dehydrated skin woes.
(NOTE: I find detailed reviews helpful, so I will try to do the same--with apologies in advance for the length!)

My skin has always been prone to acne and contact dermatitis. Starting 2 topical prescriptions (tretinoin and azelaic acid) for CCs, melasma, and "anti-aging" made it so sensitive that even the gentlest moisturizers (Avène, LRP Toleriance, Klairs) all felt like acid when they touched my face. The only products I could stand to use were micellar water, maybe a hydrating cleanser, aloe, Avène mist, and Aquaphor--all of which can only do so much to moisturize one's skin. The peeling during retinization was constant and my face always felt tight and uncomfortable. I scoured skincare forums and purchased everyone's Holy Grail moisturizers (from US drugstore to overseas luxury) only to bin them or stash as body lotion.

Hundreds of hours and $$$$ later, I stumbled across La Solution 10 while checking out eyeshadow. I couldn't find reviews of it anywhere, but I was intrigued by the claims and sold on the fact that I'd never reacted to 9/10 ingredients. Rolled the dice, bought it, applied it after aloe that night and....freaking miracle. It briefly stung very slightly on my completely raw face for the first application, but I woke up without a layer of "goatee-area" skin peeling off. My thick derm sunscreen (EltaMd UV Clear) didn't sting at all when i applied it after letting La Solution 10 sink in. By the third application on Night 2, any sting was negligible once patted in. After a week of 2x daily use, I was able to add back in Klairs Unscented Supple Prep, Innisfree Aloe, and switch back to a more cosmetically elegant sunscreen (Purito Centella Sensitive).

I've been using the same bottle of La Solution 10 de Chanel for about 2 months (2 pumps 2x daily), and my skin--on tret!!-- is finally hydrated, silky smooth, and soft. It doesn't break me out, doesn't flare my rosacea, it just adds moisture to my face and helps keep the good stuff from my toners in. It really is the best moisturizer when your princess skin won't tolerate anything else, but no one ever talks about it! Possibly because (you knew this was coming): it's $90-$105 for 1-1.7(?) oz. The packaging is functional and beautiful, it ships free from Chanel in 2 days...but you pay for the name :/. If there is an exact dupe out there I would love to know about it! So far, this is the gentlest and most effective moisturizer I've found and id encourage any fellow sensitive skin folks to give it a shot if its in your budget.

The best light weight moisturizer for sensitive skin

i think this one is the best moisturizer for sensitive skin of humid days, it's super light, it's non-sticky. it might be not moisturizing enough on colder days but with hydrating serum, this moisturizer can be enough esp for those with oilier skin.
