Triggered FA imo

I am surprised at how safe the ingredients are described when it triggered my first FA reaction. I tried it for 10 weeks hoping it was the purge and gave up. I thought it was an allergic reaction and treated with cortisone cream. WORST IDEA. Hydrocortisone makes your skin barrier then and creates an ongoing cycle. Beware of this product.

worst breakouts ever

Two years post accutane, I started having big deep pimples like cystic acne so I wanted to give this a go. I gave this one a couple of chances but it didn't work on any time. It gave me one of the worst breakouts I've ever had: the acne was painful, it was hard to cover, left scars, didn't get better. And after months, I still have the scars. This made me afraid of retinoids because I feel like all of them will give me the same resoults as this one. I hate it and I don't recommend it to you if you have concerns about PIH (acne scars).

The purging and reaction process is the worst.

I am still in the 4 month purging process. When I first started using it, it seemed fine the first two weeks and I was all excited about how this prescribed medication also has anti-aging abilities. Though shortly after, I started seeing the purge and dry, red flakiness. It was flaking so bad, my face was bleeding and it hurt. that flakiness about 1 week, I actually stopped a few days but then I read you must keep going. The scaring from the peeling is gone now but of course if you accidentally added Differin to another part of your skin that had not been exposed previously by mistake, then you sort of relive that experience...I recently added some to my under chin and yahhh that's scaring right now.

The purging is the worst...it goes non stop and even compounds with hormonal cycles so you flare even more during periods, you literally do not recognize yourself in the mirror. Acne that comes from the purging are aggressive and leave scaring. There were times I count like 30 acne on my forehead when I've never broken out that badly in my life. There's areas I've never actually broken out in at all suddenly break out. There's only a couple spots on my face which I've been lucky enough to have not broken out on. I've been lucky a couple times since I had trips with others and that happened to be times where the acne was not at the worst. Also I would cover the existing scars while on the trip. There were times I thought it was all going to be good soon and yet then came another flare.

Right now it's been what...3 months? I am still getting areas that really dry or flaky due to reacting on top of the purging whiteheads and acne that leaves a scar regardless if I leave it alone or not. I'm really hoping there is pay off at the end of the 4 months or I may even call it quits on Differin.

Note I will probably give a new review at the end of the 4 months since I also really want to know if it will work then.
