This is an interesting Vitamin C formulation that I really enjoy. Since Vitamin C degrades quickly when exposed to oxygen, this formulation has suspended it in dimethicone, which keeps it from oxidizing quickly. That being said, the dimethicone makes the consistency unique, and its application must be thoughtful when layering other products.
I am a guy (and don't wear makeup), so I do not have to worry about how it interacts with it like a few reviewers have noted. I find it best applies when my skin is slightly moisturized, so prior to application I have used The Ordinary's 100% Argan Oil or BYBI's Bakuchiol Booster (Squalane & Bakuchiol), waited a few minutes, and then applied ths Vitamin C Suspension. I'll wait a few more minutes and then apply my sunscreen.
Initially, it stung when I used it; and I had to work my way from twice a week to daily. I give myself a break on weekends.
I have been using this for several months now and am on my second tube. It's most visible effect has been on PIH, it usually takes months for my PIH from breakouts to disappear, but adding this Vitamin C Suspension has increased the speed at which the redness fades down considerably. Since adding to my routine, my skin looks brighter and smoother.
I would recommend for anyone looking for a strong, shelf-stable Vitamin C to add to their routine. While I have fairly sensitive skin, and was able to work my way up to daily use, this may not be suitable for extremely sensitive skin.
II hate this. Its texture annoyed me a lot. When I wear it, I feel like there is a layer on my skin. Can't add any skincare before using this as i feel like it break down all the other skincare effect. So I stopped using this. I don't see any improve effect on my skin.
I wanted to like this since the ingredients are great and it's a stable vitamin C, but for daily use this is extremely annoying to use. It likes to pill up when applying, it's very thick and leaves a layer on the skin. It is also irritating if you don't have anything else on your skin or if you don't mix it with other things first.
