Too Much Oil Control

I was gifted the Artistry Essentials set (cleanser, toner, blemish gel and this lotion) in January by my mom because I had almost run out of my current products and a couple of her friends suggested that it may help solve my acne problem. The lotion is a white thick white liquid and smells a bit like nuts (presumably the coconut water). It has a bit of a white cast but I don't mind it much since I'm fair skinned. It also has a wierd finish, it's not sticky but you know it's there when you touch your face. I used the full set for a couple weeks. It didn't break me out nor it healed my acne (might be because my break outs were at bay at the time). But for the first time in my life, my skin was dehydrated, almost on the verge of dry. (I want to point out that I have a very oily skin despite the cold and arid winters we have here.) I stopped using the lotion and went back to Nip+Fab Teen Skin moisturizer while still using the rest of the set. When the weather began to warm up my skin began to get oily again and I decided to give this lotion another shot. This time it was able to control my sebum without drying out my skin even calm my acne down a bit. I figured to use this only in the mornings since both day and night usage caused some dryness around my eyes.
Overall, this lotion might be an all in one solution for acne and oil sufferers as it contains spf, mousturizing and oil controlling ingredients but be vary that it might be an overkill.
