It foams up quite nicely and leaves the skin feeling clean, but not stripped. However, I just couldn't get along with the smell, since it reminded me of used towels somehow. Don't know if anyone else had this problem, perhaps I received one from an older batch, but I can't confirm since I couldn't find a "use by" date on the bottle. I wasn't blown away, so I'm happy I didn't buy the full size, since I would have become bored with it quite fast, but I wouldn't say it's a bad product.
This was like a really awful cleanser for my oily and sensitive skin.
It kept drying out my skin. At first, I thought it was just my skin adjusting to the cleanser. However, it got worse and worse over time. My skin started to flake and I broke out like crazy. Soon, it started to crack, my lines grew even more obvious. I also started to bleed and my skin sensitivity shot up. By this time, my whole face was a red mess and really itchy.
I couldn't even use it to wash my hands or body so I threw it away. What a waste!
I've heard ceramides can be drying but not sure if that's really the case here as I've no problems with Stratia Liquid Gold. It can't be niacinamide either as I've used Mizon FTE with no issues. Same with Sarcosinate and so on.
I guess low ph is just 1 factor. The ingredients and formulation are another. It's also taught me these lessons: patch test and try to get a sample. You never know what you'll react to.
