Dried my skin out

This dried out my skin like crazy. I used this face wash for a couple of weeks because I've used CnC Essential Face Wash and I loved it so I figured out I would like this one too. But I guess this one wasn't as gentle as the Essential one as my skin became really dry, patchy, and flaky to the point that I can pick out individual skin flakes and they would become visible when I look at myself in the mirror. This does clean, though, as the consistency makes it easy to use to clean my brushes (and I see that they're cleaned) and my friends who used this doesn't have any problem. My dry skin just doesn't like this.
