I know you can't avoid a lot of stuff sometimes, but when what's supposed to help clean you is what breaks you, then . . . oof. I found it highly ineffective. Yes, it is gentle, yes it does clean . . . but the fact it was a big part of my break outs is what destroyed my self confidence when I finally worked up the nerve to stick to a regiment and ruined my mental health on that front for ag ood minute. Leaving it alone was better and the 'consultant' didnt help that matter, almost gaslighting that it could be A MILLION other things breaking me out and not answering "Whats a malaessza safe alternative in this line that can help'
I have very sensitive skin - I have used products and after about a week I'll start to react. I'll start to get dryer, cracking and flaky skin and break out in red, splotchy patches. I've been using the Curology cleanser as part of the trial in hopes it would be something that works for me and doesn't cause the reaction I've previously had and luckily I have made it further with this cleanser than any other in a long time! My skin feels great after use, not dried out or tight or greasy. In combination with the treatment, my skin has really been clearing and showing a remarkable difference in even a short amount of time.
Other cleansers used for reference: YTTP Kale Green Tea Cleanser, Cetaphil Daily Gentle, CeraVe, Vanicream Gentle Cleanser, Clinique Mild Facial Soap
This Cleanser Is Great! Has No Smell, Which I Really Like About This Brand. My Skin Is Very Sensitive And Acne Prone. Got A Custom Set A Couple Of Months Ago And Loved It!! Have Got More Since And Now They Have Body Cleanser And Acne Spot Patches, Can't Wait To Try
This product does it job! its gentle enough it doesn't feel like its stripping, but its not so gentle that it feels like you're just rubbing lotion on your face, like with Cerave hydrating cleanser. I gave it four stars for because my product had a weird consistency, like parts had separated. Has a clean soapy scent to it.
This cleanser was probably my favorite product from Curology! It's creamy and foams slightly, resulting in a face that's clean but isn't stripped. It removed makeup well, so I'd sometimes use it twice to double cleanse if I was being lazy and didn't feel like getting my oil cleanser out. I have dry skin and could easily cleanse for 1+ minutes without my skin feeling overly dry afterwards. Curology doesn't sell the cleanser or moisturizer separately from the serum, so I've been on a quest to find a suitable alternative. Currently using Neutrogena Hydro Boost Cleansing Lotion and CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser, but neither of these foam whatsoever.
Why, oh why is this not fungal acne safe? The lather is so soft, and it's the most non stripping and non drying formula I've ever used. It's so soothing and gentle, my sensitive skin loved it. Never gave me redness, never upset my PIH... amazing. It was like washing my face with liquid marshmallows. But it's not fungal acne safe... so it's not meant to be.
