- Removes even heavy make-up quickly without tugging or excessive rubbing
- Gently, but effectively removes make-up and even permanent marker (don't ask)
- Immediately soothing to the skin
- Makes you feel expensive
- Feels nourishing and leaves skin feeling soft and clean without being stripped of natural oils
- Really relaxing to use, it feels like a spa day every time I use it
- Washes off reasonably well and doesn't sting eyes
- A little goes a long way!
- Eczema safe
Cons
- Expensive upfront cost, however I find with the small amount you use it ends up being fairly economical
- You need a wash cloth to ensure you get everything off, however I do this anyway with most cleanser. Dip your cotton face cloth (the Daiso and Muji ones are perfect) into warm water, and gently wipe.
- All other balm cleansers pale in comparison
- Not great if you have a nut allergy
Should you buy it?
Yes If you wear waterproof mascara and hate washing your face, not only will this remove the make-up but it makes removing it a calming, therapeutic and enjoyable experience. I always look forward to using my Slaai cleanser.
No If you are concerned by the cost. Although this is one of the more affordable balm cleansers I could find in store when I bought it, it has similar results to the cheaper Muji oil cleanser.
