One Of My Favorite Tints

My skin gets irritated easily from harsh ingredients and thick textures, so I need to be wary about these sensitivities when trying out beauty products. For this reason, finding good lip colors had been quite difficult for me, until I tried Etude House's Dear Darling Tint line. Some of the tints from this line have become my HG lip tints, and their newest Water Gel Tints, in these sweet ice-cream packages, are definitely one of them. Like most of its parent line, this tint is very gentle, lightweight, and a bit moisturizing (although it can be a little bit sticky while settling in). Watermelon Red (RD307)'s color in particular goes from a bright red in the tube to a beautiful, sheer reddish-pink on the lips, leaves a sheer stain, and seems to fade after quite a while.

For comparison, I've also tried the Dear Darling line's Oil Tint (my other HG lip tint) and the older Water Gel Tints. The Oil Tints have around the same staying power as the new Water Gel Tints and are also on the sheerer side, but are also a bit more pigmented, brighter in color, and more moisturizing. On the other hand, the older Water Gels (the ones in wand-like packaging) are much brighter, more pigmented, and opaque than the newer ones (in the aforementioned ice-cream packaging) and take longer to fade out, but don't feel as moisturizing.

All in all, the Dear Darling line has something for everyone, and the entire Water Gel range in particular has tons of shades that would suit any look and style. I highly recommend these tints to anyone looking for lovely lip tints at affordable price!

A little sticky, but really beautiful colors

The packaging is just the cutest ever and I really like it a lot. It just feels like they did that little extra again. This is a part of their summer collection and is there any better way of presenting a tint in form of an ice cream? I just think they look really amazing. The packaging is very sturdy and feels like a quality packaging so negativity on that part. They all smell the same, which is sweet and fruity.
The applicator is a normal doe foot applicator with a hole in the middle (which makes the doe foot hold a lot of product).

They are easy to apply on the lips, but there is a lot of product on the brush from the beginning, so be sure to start applying from the center of your lips to avoid too much product at the edges of the lips. I don’t know why, but these applicators always tickle on my lips. But hey, then applying with a smile.
