A nice BB cream and the packaging is just adorable

My thoughts on the Holika Holika aqua petit jelly BB cream
When first decided to test this product out I read a lot of reviews on it, and people really loved this product so of course I had to try it out.

The BB cream comes in a really cute packaging and that is one thing the Koreans are so famous for. It is a glass container shaped like an upside down jello. It has a spatula to scoop the product up with and wouldn’t recommend you using the spatula on you face because of the risk of spreading bacteria in the container. Instead take some off on your clean hand and apply from there. I would definitely prefer this product in a pump instead. It has a gel like texture and is quite thick.

To me this is almost like a foundation and not a BB cream, because I think the cover is that good.  It is semi matte in finish and gives medium cover that is buildable.  If you want more cover you add one layer on top, but let the first layer dry completely before you do.

I prefer BB creams with light cover on a daily basis because I don’t have much I need to hide, like acne scars or pimples.  And I prefer a dewier look.

It is very lightweight on your skin and after a while you almost won’t be able to feel that you have anything on your skin.

It is not super moisturizing and if you have really dry skin like me you should only use it when your face is moist. This because of the finish, dry skins looks better with dewier finishes. At least that is my opinion I think it is best suited for normal to oilier skin types.
It doesn’t leave a grayish cast which is just perfect. A lot of Korean products do leave a gray cast on your skin and I can’t say I find that very flattering to anyone. I am more yellow in my undertones and this suites me just perfect.

When applying it I would not recommend using the sponge that comes with the product. It really doesn’t do much at all. Usually I prefer to use my fingers to apply BB creams. Since this is thicker and dries quickly I actually prefer a Kabuki brush. This is the only BB cream I use a brush with. It could also be that I find it more foundation like, and I never apply foundation with my fingers. You can also use a good sponge or a puff to pat it in, that would also leave a nice looking finish.

When applied it dries really quickly so you won’t feel sticky or oily.
