caused me breakouts

I bought I’m From Vitamin Tree Water-Gel a few months ago in my attempt to find replacement for my HG moisturiser Innisfree green tea fresh cream (which had been discontinued this year, sobs). The moisturizer came in a clear-glass jar with a tiny spatula to scoop out the water-gel. It has watery gel texture, and easily absorbed into skin which actually made my skin feel very soft and plump after application.

HOWEVER, within a week of using the moisturizer (after initial 3-day of patch testing) - I started to experience breakouts on my cheeks. I suspected it was the witch hazel leaf extract was the caused it. For the record, I tried Thayers witch hazel toner in the past, and it gave me similar ‘result’ : smooth-feeling skin but painful CCs after 1-2 week. After some googling-fu done, turned out that witch hazel could cause breakout for oily/acne prone skin. According to Paula’s Choice : "most of the witch hazel preparations contain between 14% and 15% alcohol, an amount that can significantly irritate skin. Even if you don’t see or feel that happening on the surface of skin, the irritation is still taking place, below the surface." (source: https://www.paulaschoice.com/expert-advice/skincare-advice/natural-skincare/is-witch-hazel-good-for-skin.html)

Still, YMMV. But people with oily or/and acne-prone skin should thread with caution. My suggestion is to do a longer period of patch-testing first before you fully committed of using the moisturiser.

Good moisturizer for oily skin

I have been trying this gel for almost 4 moths and i can say without any doubt that i love it.
It's really light weight and easy to absorber into the skin.
don't break me out o makes my skin feels oily.
I usually use it in my evening skin care routine and in the next morning my skin feels soft and plump.
