Uncomfortable to apply, but otherwise great.

It dries very fast, which is usually a good thing, but I actually found this sunscreen a bit irritating in the application process. I didn't find that it was sensitising once it was on, which is a definite plus. But when applying it, it's actually a bit uncomfortable - after 0.5 seconds, it starts to feel a bit like there's super-fine sand in it, which you're now rubbing into your skin. So I usually end up applying too much, just to avoid the sandy-feeling, and when over-applied, it does feel a bit occlusive. It's a weird thing. Never had this experience with a sunscreen before. If you manage to apply the recommended amount, it doesn't feel oily or occlusive to the skin (which is great!) but this is difficult to achieve, and you have work incredibly quickly and in super small sections. I would recommend not putting the product on your fingers first, but pumping straight onto your face and then smoothing it in.

But, once it's on, as long as you haven't applied half a decilitre, it's a good one. Definitely less oily than other sunscreens I've tried (less oily than Bioderma Photoderm Dry touch Mat Finish Sunscreen SPF50+).

Overall verdict: 3.5/5
*Sensitising, during the application: 1/5
Sensitising, once on the skin: 5/5
Good for oily skin: 5/5 *
if not over-applied, but this is finicky.

fave sunscreen for oilier skin with dry patches

I was amazed since the first moment I used it. It sank in so quick, without a whitecast and astoundingly lightweight. And best of all: it did not cling to any dry patches --not a one. It pills up a tiny bit when rubbed in (tho that might have been because I apply it twice at the same go --it's so lightweight I can actually do that with this now! yay for dependable sun protection!!!) but it sinks in so quickly and without slip that patting it on feels like a much better application method. all in all, it leaves me with pleasantly semi-mat super soft skin, not sacrificing that healthy skin glow, does not clog my over-sensitive clog-prone pores, and offering a slight brightening effect all over. this is my hg sunscreen from now on. I love it so much.

decent but not excellent

the sunscreen itself is a good product, it doesnt leave your face oily or with white "marks", but I found applying it onto skin a little bit difficult because it was too thick and it dried so fast. Sometimes the same sunscreen but with color works better. I ended up too lazy to apply it since I had to go too fast otherwise I would have to use too much product.
