Good product for makeup base

I will start by saying that  I bought this product after  my dermatologist recommended it to me and I used two bottles of this product because I felt it worked well as a makeup base and did not make my skin feel greasy or heavy, it kept my skin shine under control for a couple of hours but not for the whole day though. What I liked is that it did not felt itchy and it did not had a strong perfume. On the long term though it did not decreased the secreted sebum of skin reason why I will leave 4 stars.

Merely a short term Cosmetic solution.

Has Butylene Glycol, Dimethicone and Tocopherol (Vitamin E) - all potential pore clogging ingredients in addition to Salicylic Acid. Not a good oil absorbing product. It just makes skin look matt because of the dimethicone but leads to more breakouts and clogged pores in the long run. It appeared to work well for me the first day I used it. Right after a bathe. So it made my skin look poreless and matt. But i realised on the second day that the longer it sits on skin (I only applied it on my nose and areas around the sides of my nose) the more oily the areas outlining it gets. Thats when I saw that there was Dimethicone in the product. Its a good primer. But merely a 'cosmetic' solution. It does not do anything preventative and is not a good long term skincare product.

ok

I got lots of samples of this a few months ago and after I finished them all I noticed how much this was making effect on my skin.
This is supposed to be a treatment for oily skin so naturally, I only used it on the oily sides of my face, and it actually helped control the sebum a little bit, especially around my nose.
But!!! It made me breakout. A LOT.
I didn't think this was the one causing it since at the time I was experimenting with a lot of new products, but once I finished the samples, two days later my face was back to normal.
Quite disappointing since it was working for its claim of controlling the oil, but I guess it's not for me.
