Good at improving acne scarring but the formula could be better

According to the manufacturer this is a mask formulated to address discoloration and dehydration. The main ingredients are Kojic Acid, Licorice Root, Mulberry and Grapeseed, which are powerful antioxidants that help even the skin tone. It also contains Vitamin E and Beeswax.
As any other mask, you have to apply a layer on the skin and leave it for some minutes. The instructions recommend to leave it for 5-10 minutes and I think that is enough, actually I feel the skin getting so tight I cannot even talk. If you leave it longer it can be too drying.
It leaves a white chalky residue that is impossible to remove by just splashing water, I have to go with a cleanser, preferably an hydrating one.
At first I didn't notice any changes because I was using it just once in a while, perhaps every 2-3 weeks. In order to see results, a more frequent use is required. I started using it 2-3 times a week for two weeks and then I did see a positive effect on post inflammatory hiperpigmentation and scars. The problem of this frequency of use is that you will run out of product very fast.
I completely disagree about the hydration claim, in fact the mask is very drying on my skin.
The are two thing I dislike:
- The packaging because I'm afraid the product will go bad or it will dry out. I use a spatula to get the product so that I don't have to stick my fingers, and I kept the protective seal as long as I could in order to provide a little more protection from air.
- It contains mineral oils, fragance and parabens
I have sensitive skin and I didn't notice any problems of irritation, but be careful and do a patch test if you have sensitive skin too.
