Love This! Great for Dry Lips.

After Bite Beauty reformulated their cult favourite Agave Lip Mask to be vegan, I was left scrambling to find a replacement for my chronically dry lips. My lips are dry whether I live in a dry or humid climate, and despite the fact I make sure to drink 1.5 L of water everyday. Dehydration doesn't seem to be the problem.

Anyway, long story short - I decided to give this lip mask a try and I love it!

Formulation: The vanilla scent is divine, it's not cloyingly sweet and does not linger. The texture is so much better than Laneige's lip mask in my opinion. It's thicker and balmier compared to Laniege's thinner and slightly greasier(?) consistency (due to this the staying power is better as well). However, this is not as thick nor as sticky as the Agave Lip Mask - it's definitely a happy medium between the two.

Packaging: Compared to Laniege's gigantic tub of product, this lip mask comes in a tiny pot and its much lower price definitely reflects that. I'm a big fan of its lightweight portability, but personally hate the ugly minimalist design on the lid (it's a sticker so you can just peel it off). The packaging is sturdy, does its job and is perfect for traveling. However, I 100% would have preferred squeeze tube packaging like the Agave Lip Mask for hygienic reasons.

Usage: I always exfoliate my lips before using any lip mask because there's no point on applying on top of dead skin. A layer of this lasts me throughout the whole night and into the morning. The whole time my lips feel soft and protected. Of course, once this wears off I apply a lip balm throughout the day to keep the softness going or else my lips will just revert back to the Sahara Desert. I've been using this since the beginning of April and it's still my favourite step in my skincare routine.

If you're on the market for a new lip mask, give this one a try.
