Caused acne

I really wanted to like this moisturizer but unfortunately, it caused me acne. This is a total bummer since I heard good things about it and have seen it being used by many people on r/skincareaddiction . I did buy it from Amazon, so there is a slight possibility it is not authentic, which could in turn contain ingredients that caused me acne.

Bad acne trigger

This worked well on my forehead and cheeks. They felt soft and hydrated. However, my chin broke out with numerous whiteheads, blackheads/clogged pores. My whole chin area began to look like a rash. I must be allergic to something in this :( I also think the packaging for this product is unsanitary because the cream is easily contaminated by dipping your finger into the pot

Not for everyone

Ok so I am a mostly dry combination skin and I love this product. The scent is very pleasant and it sinks in very fast which makes it suitable for daytime use. It leaves my skin feeling extremely soft after it sinks in but the major drawback is the fact that for some reason it doesn't work for my skin as it causes slight burn and makes it breakout even more than before. I am extremely sad I can't use this on my dry cheeks because I love it but there is one ingredient on it my skin seems to hate.

it felt like fire on my face

I have very dry, sensitive skin. I was recommended Neutrogena products by my dermatologist. I love the Hydroboost soap, so I thought the Watergel would be a good moisturizer to try. I put it on my face (like an idiot, didn't do a spot test), and within about a minute my face was burning. I have a high pain tolerance and I tried to tough it out to see if it would go away. Spoiler alert: it did not stop. I ended up washing my face then and there to make my skin stop burning.
My sister loves it though, so clearly I'm just sensitive.

Meh.

I started using it because I ran out of my favorite cream and I was like, why not? it was cheaper and I've heard good reviews of it. It does leave my skin more hydrated, but nothing way too impressive, and I hate the smell (actually I hate products with fragrances in general, but well). Sometimes it feels a liiitle bitch itchy (and my skin is not sensitive), but nothing too crazy. It does absorbs quickly, and it leaves the skin feeling hydrated, but to be honest, it does not convince me. I feel it just a little aggressive, without being irritating. It is not completely bad and I will finish it now, but definitely wouldn't buy again. It is just meh to me!

Decent for a budget moisturiser

Before you get into reading this review, do note that i have dry to combination skin and am less than 20 years old. I've been using the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel for about a month or so, and have found that most of my dry patches (the dry skin the peels back after applying foundation) is gone and that my face is definitely softer and more hydrated. It has a very light consistency and settles/drys down quickly. It's a really good product if you're someone who likes a quick skincare routine and doesn't like that wet texture ( that feels like oil) on your face. The only negative part about this is the scent of it. It has a seriously strong scent that can be very off-putting (like to my sister), the scent isn't bad but has a very strong floral smell. Eg, you can still smell it after like 1 - 2 hours.
