(I have a 20 year history of battling acne and have tried a lot of different treatments.) I use this mask for 5-10 minutes once or twice a week and it does not irritate my skin. It is calming, mattifying / oil absorbing, and helps even out my skin texture. It is also incredibly affordable. Several friends with different skin types have also commented how much they like this masque.
Before I knew I had fungal acne, I would have this as my go to whenever I would breakout. I sleep with the clay mask overnight and when I wake up, my skin is clear. It is dry but I would rather have a dry face than a breakout of bumps!!This calms my fungal acne flare ups
Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to apply those mint green facial masks like I'd seen the ladies do in the movies with their hair in towels or on rollers. I started using Queen Helene's mask when I was about 14, and didn't experience any problems at the time, but I also didn't have acne yet. Unfortunately now, I have a sensitivity to topical menthol and mint-derived fragrances, so this ends up irritating my skin and leading to more breakouts. For others who don't have this sensitivity, this mask is fun, smells amazing, and leaves your skin feeling refreshed as long as it's not left on for too long.
