My thoughts on Secret Key Black Snail Original Cream
I am a sucker for products containing snail mucus so my hopes were high for this one.

The packaging is really nice, it is a black glass jar with a screw on lid. I do have one problem since it feels like you have to screw the lid so many turns to open it. Maybe that is silly to some, but I live with chronic pain and every single repetitive movement hurt. And I do notice a difference between other jars.

Other than that, I do prefer my products to come in a tube or a pump bottle since it is way more hygienic that way and I really don’t like dipping my fingers, or a spatula in a jar.
The cream itself is white and as any other snail product, slimy in consistency. It is easy to apply and penetrate to some extent quite fast. The smell is there, but it is not overpowering, more of a fresh scent.

Now to the weird part of this product. When I apply this to my face, no matter how many layers I put on before. It penetrates to some extent and makes my skin feel like it has a clay mask on. When I feel my skin, it feels tacky. So, it leaves some kind or surface on my skin and the end thought of it is that my skin feels super dry and I want to add another layer on top. This is really weird feeling for me cause all the other snail products I have tried has made my skin feel moisturized.

One can say that it doesn’t do much for my skin at all and I don’t think this is a cream for dry skin people (like myself) but if you are on the oiler side this might be a good one for you. But there are way better snail moisturizers out there and that deserves your money.
