It's full of ceramides, oils like sea buckthorn oil or rosehip oil and other goodies like ninamicide, glucosamine and panthenol. All these help to regenerate skin cells, fade scars, brighten your complexion, thicken your skin layer, reduce wrinkles and so on. I did see green tea extract far down the list but there's probably too little of it to reduce redness and irritation from rosacea.
According to Alli(creator of Stratia), "the ideal proportion for ceramides, cholesterol, linoleic acid, and palmitic acid is 3:1:1:1". (Source: https://theacidqueenblog.com/2015/11/03/fun-with-diy-moisture-barrier-serum/) So, that's what you really get.
It absorbs quite quickly at times but when the humidity is close to 100%, it doesn't so I warm my palms and press them to my face to boost absorption.
Sadly, it's very rich and breaks me out. I just might have to mix a little bit of it with a much lighter moisturiser. Yes, my skin barrier is compromised and I've oily/dry skin and a million other problems which are going away, bit by bit. My skin was fairly sensitive a few months ago. It's still nowhere perfect but at least I'm a lot less prone to flaking and burning.
