gentle & hydrating

My first AHA and an amazing option for beginners or those with sensitive/reactive skin who still want to incorporate acid exfoliation into their routine.
Comes in a glass bottle with a dropper, and the product itself smells a bit like burning rubber, but skincare shouldn't smell like rainbows and cotton candy, and the fact that they didn't mask this typical lactic acid scent with fragrance is a good thing. I really love the addition of hyaluronic acid here, because it almost softens any harshness of AHA, attracting needed moisture to the skin. It has beautiful serum-like texture and medium viscosity, not too heavy or sticky at all. Spreads effortlessly, leaving the slightest tackiness behind, and a little goes a long way. I used a couple drops mostly in the evening, making it to the bottom of the bottle in about 6 months.
I experienced no burning even on first application, maybe slight tingling at best, and it never made my reactive skin red or aggravated. Although it was extremely gentle, I did notice reduced texture and a fresher, plumper complexion in the morning at first. However, I think my skin got used to it very quickly, and the effects became harder to see with time, so I switched to something stronger after finishing my bottle. It didn't improve blackheads on my nose unfortunately.
Basically, this product served me as a perfect stepping stone, and I would still come back to it if I wanted to give my skin a bit of a break while still tackling that texture. Super user-friendly with straightforward ingredients and an unbeatable price.
