works for reducing my PIH
Skin Type: oily Skin
Skin Concerns: Post Inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), Acne, Blackheads, Fungal Acne (Malassezia), Large Pores, Uneven Skin Tone, Whiteheads/Closed Comedones

I've been using this serum for more almost 2 years and i always repurchase because this products is super effective for minimizing pores, and reduce my PIH scars. but i don't think it works for brightening one thing i hate this products is the formula and texture. it pilling if i layer it with a oil face and i just don't like it

Fungal acne/sensitive skin/fatty alcohol sensitive disapproved
Skin Type: combination Skin
Skin Concerns: Post Inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), Acne, Rosacea, Sensitive Skin, Whiteheads/Closed Comedones

I have only read great reviews on this product and even the ones that related break out were not to the extense of what I experienced. I bought in hopes it would calm down my skin and help heal my fungal acne also improve the redness. The first day of usage my redness reduced substantially so I was excited to keep usage. However, as days went by I noticed that my skin was breaking out where before was acne free and redness and itchiness got worse. So, I stopped using it immediately and my break out ceased. Out of curiosity I digged online the reason why I had such a bad reaction and I found that people with fatty alcohol sensitive skin are the ones who break out using this product. So, if your skin is as sensitive as mine just skip it.

Broke me out!
Skin Type: combination Skin
Skin Concerns: Post Inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), Acne, Blackheads, Large Pores, Sensitive Skin, Dehydrated Skin, Uneven Skin Tone, Whiteheads/Closed Comedones

I wanted to like this product so badly, since I had heard nothing but great things about it. Unfortunately, it only made my acne worse. I patch tested this 3 times, each time hoping that it would work for me but nope: it clogged my pores and gave me lots of whiteheads & closed comedones - it definitely didn't improve my skin texture. My skin looked bumpy and it felt rough. I think the niacinamide or castor oil caused my skin to break out, so be careful if your skin doesn't react well to those ingredients.

The serum didn't do anything for my hyperpigmentation. After several weeks of using this, my acne scars still looked the same and they didn't seem to fade any quicker.

However, this product worked really well on the oily parts on my skin: it gave my skin a nice matte finish and it works really well under makeup. I didn't find this serum very hydrating so people with dry skin might want to apply lots of hydrating layers after using this serum to avoid dryness.
