I use this cleanser at night after my oil cleanser if I am wear makeup. It doesn't take off makeup well, but if you only wore sunscreen this should be fine. It is a gel like consistency that feels very hydrating and gentle on the skin. If your skin is suffering from chemical burns from using too many actives, this cleanser will help calm it down. I like that it also provides a bit of hydration at night before I layer up on the rest of my skincare. I do have oily skin, but this has not clogged my pores or broke me out in any way. I think hydration is key when it comes to oily and acne prone skin. It washes off nicely and doesn't leave a film on my face so I would recommend this cleanser.

I saw suggestions to use this on a subreddit I follow, and I decided to give it a shot. I had been using Simple Hydro Boost Gel Face Cleanser, which was fairly gentle, but still left me dry. I thought I just had a super dry face. That is, until I tried this. It almost feels like lotion in consistency (smells like plain lotion), but leaves my skin feeling clean, soft, and hydrated. It doesn't feel greasy, and it doesn't irritate me at all! In fact, I don't actually have to moisturize after using this. Of course, I still use moisturizer, but I need less than half the amount I was using before.

Not every product is going to work for everyone, but this should definitely be next to try for anyone with dry, irritated, sensitive and/or damaged skin. It has all 3 of the most important ceramides, which helps your skin heal, and hyaluronic acid, which keeps the moisture where it belongs, in your skin.

One other thing to note, when I use my konjac sponge to gently exfoliate, I find there's almost nothing to rinse off after gently scrubbing for a min or more.

I love cerave products their ingredients are far superior to most other cleansers/moisturizers in the same price range.
I have combo, sensitive and dehydrated skin and I am 41 years young.
I love washing my face with water so when I came across this cleanser all my prayers were answered.
The consistency is like cream and it does not foam but when removed with water it does not leave a greasy film and it removes all traces of makeup and daily grime also spf.
It contains ceramides and hylaronic acid which are great for all skin types.
I use this as both my morning and evening cleanser and my skin never feels tight or stripped.
I have been searching for years for a water cleanser without sulphates and this one is just perfect for me.
It never gives me clogged pores or breakouts. I have not had any reactions and it has helped with balancing my skin it doesn't feel as dehydrated.
You can remove it with a damp face cloth if you want a little bit extra exfoliation .
Cerave hydrating cleanser is definitely worth a try for all skin types.
