I've never disliked a product so much. The vitamin C is basically in the form of the raw L-AA powder in this formula, which I assume makes it so cheap since it wasn't really processed.

I love squalane by itself but in this product it's combined with the powder which makes the texture feel like greasy sand. When the raw bits of powder are spread on your skin unevenly and you crush them when spreading, it tingles quite a bit. The uncomfortable greasy layer is then sitting on top and doesn't absorb much, which makes layering other products difficult. I tried combining it with an oil, toner and moisturizer but no combination will get rid of the grittiness.

On top of all that it has a awful plastic smell that lingers for way too long and made me actually dizzy several times. I was too appalled by the application and general unpleasantness this product brought to my routine that I had to force myself to use it. I understand it's cool to see vitamin C this cheap, but honestly after this experience I'll rather pay extra for a better formulated serum.

This thing immediately flares up my sensitive skin; bumps appeared quickly accompanied with redness then they start to itch bad. It started to calm down after I swipe my face with aloe toner (BENTON Aloe BHA toner), aloe gel (HOLIKA HOLIKA Aloe Vera 99%), & a honey mask (COSRXUltimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask)

There are pros and cons, but for me the pros outweight the cons.

• Pros:
• It works. The next morning my skin is much smoother.
• It helps my PIH too, the dark brown spots fade after a few days instead of weeks like before.
• no or minimal smell. My nose is too good :)))

• The gritty texture and tingling effect is a good sign that the product works. I feel this almost all the time, but I have found a remedy: I wet my hand and sprinkle water droplets on my face, which is a temporary method before I receive my mist. So both the grittiness and the slightly burning sensation last for 3 seconds perhaps. Then the product sinks in easily

• Cons:

• My skin is covered with a greasy layer the following morning that water cannot wash off. It is like a thick film, but I think it is necessary locks the moisture and the vitamin C in my skin well.

This is 23% very stable pure ascorbic acid formulation, as there is no water in it. This formula also is not dependable on PH, so it can be used on or with any other skincare product. It has consistency of a thick paste with powder of ascorbic acid, which supposed to dissolve on the skin. In fact it is hard to say how much of this powder is actually dissolving and then getting absorbed. I apply it onto wet skin for better absorption. As it is quite hight concentration of the ascorbic acid there can be some tingling sensations. My skin is used to vit C, so I didn't experience that, only after I have done a peeling - then there was a tingling. Although I think this concentration can be uncomfortable for a sensitive skin or for skins which are not familiar with vit C yet. My note is 3/5 because this formula doesn't absorb well and leaves shiny/silicony residue on the skin and also because I haven't noticed any brightening results. Maybe this formula is very stable and concentration is very impressive, but overall not very effective.
