SENSORY10× More Vitamin C than Regular Tangerines
Green Tangerine Extract (Citrus Tangerina) sourced from Jeju Island is packed with ascorbic acid precursors and antioxidants, delivering potent brightening power to fade dark circles and uneven pigmentation in the eye area.
Tangerine Matrix Hydrogel Sheet Technology
Each patch is engineered to mimic the dense, porous structure of tangerine peel, allowing the Vitamin C-rich serum to closely adhere and penetrate deeply into the delicate skin under the eyes for superior delivery.
Triple-Weight Hyaluronic Acid Complex
Combines high-molecular Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, and Sodium Hyaluronate to hydrate at multiple skin depths simultaneously — providing both instant surface plumping and lasting moisture retention.
Serum-Level Active Ingredients in Patch Form
Formulated with the same hero actives as the bestselling Goodal Green Tangerine Vita C Dark Spot Serum, including Niacinamide (~4–5%), Adenosine, Ascorbyl Glucoside, and Arbutin — now in a targeted eye patch format.
Multi-Botanical Soothing Complex
Enriched with Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate (licorice), Allantoin, Turmeric Root Extract, Holy Basil Extract, and Corallina Officinalis (red algae) to calm inflammation, reduce puffiness, and strengthen the skin barrier.
Visible Results in Just 5 Minutes
The embossed hydrogel texture conforms perfectly to under-eye contours without slipping. Eyes look noticeably more awake, plumper, and brighter after just one use — ideal for morning prep or pre-event skin care.
Safety & compatibility
SAFEThe formula contains essential oils (Bergamot, Lavender, Lemon, Ylang Ylang, Orange) and Limonene/Linalool fragrance compounds. While no retinoids, hydroquinone, or salicylic acid are present, essential oils near the eye area are generally advised against during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before use.
The formula does not contain fermented ingredients, fatty acids, or problematic esters that feed Malassezia yeast. Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate is used at very low concentrations in rinse-off-style delivery and is generally considered safe. The product is considered fungal acne (FA) safe.
No known pore-clogging oils or heavy occlusive butters. The hydrogel base (Carrageenan, Glucomannan, Ceratonia Siliqua Gum) is non-comedogenic. Key film-formers score 0–1 on the comedogenic scale. Safe for acne-prone skin.
Contains no AHAs, BHAs, or acids that would conflict with retinol. Can be used in the same routine on non-retinol nights or as a morning eye treatment when retinol is used the evening prior.
Already contains stabilised Vitamin C derivatives (Ascorbyl Glucoside). Compatible with additional topical Vitamin C serums. No pH conflicts as Ascorbyl Glucoside is stable at neutral pH ranges.
Contains Limonene and Linalool (fragrance allergens listed by EU regulations) from natural citrus/lavender essential oils. A small number of users have reported mild stinging around the eye area. Always patch test before full use, especially for reactive or eczema-prone skin.
Uses Ascorbyl Glucoside (a stable Vitamin C derivative) rather than pure L-Ascorbic Acid, so the common niacinamide–vitamin C interaction concern (niacin flushing) is effectively neutralised in this formulation.
Goodal has completed a skin irritation test on this product and it has passed dermatologist evaluation. Suitable for most skin types including normal, dry, oily, combination, and mild-sensitive skin.
Ingredient breakdown
INGREDIENTSGlycerin ~5–8%Proven
A humectant that draws water from the environment and deeper skin layers up to the skin's surface, providing immediate and sustained hydration. Found in position #2 in the INCI list, indicating a significant concentration in this formula.
- Function: Humectant, skin conditioning, barrier support
- Evidence: Extensively studied; clinically proven to increase skin hydration and reduce transepidermal water loss (TEWL)
- Comedogenic Rating: 0/5
Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) ~4–5%Proven
One of the most clinically validated skin actives available. At 4–5% concentration it inhibits melanosome transfer to keratinocytes to visibly reduce dark circles and hyperpigmentation, strengthens the lipid barrier, and modulates sebum production. Analysis from What's In My Jar estimates this product contains Niacinamide at 4.10–5.00% — a therapeutically active range.
- Dark circles: Reduces melanin transfer and improves microcirculation — key mechanisms for under-eye discoloration
- Barrier repair: Increases ceramide and fatty acid synthesis for a healthier skin barrier
- Anti-inflammatory: Clinically shown to reduce redness, blotchiness, and irritation
- Effective concentration: Studies show 4–5% is optimal for pigmentation; this formula hits that mark
Citrus Tangerina (Green Tangerine) Extract ~150 ppmPromising
Sourced from unripe green tangerines — harvested before full ripeness when Vitamin C content is at its peak — this hero extract delivers powerful antioxidant protection, brightening, and free-radical defence. Green tangerines contain approximately 10× more Vitamin C than ripe tangerines, along with flavonoids and hesperidin for additional anti-inflammatory effects.
- Vitamin C content: Unripe citrus is richest in ascorbic acid; harvesting green extends bioactivity in the formula
- Antioxidant: Neutralises UV-induced free radicals that contribute to hyperpigmentation and collagen degradation
- Brightening: Works synergistically with Niacinamide and Ascorbyl Glucoside for multi-pathway dark spot reduction
Hyaluronic Acid + Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid + Sodium Hyaluronate ~0.1–0.5% combinedProven
A triple molecular-weight hyaluronic acid complex providing hydration at different skin depths. High-molecular HA (Hyaluronic Acid) forms a moisture barrier at the surface; medium-weight Sodium Hyaluronate penetrates the upper epidermis; low-molecular Hydrolyzed HA reaches deeper layers for long-lasting plumping and fine-line reduction.
- Surface hydration: High-MW HA locks moisture on the skin surface, creating a visible plumping effect instantly
- Deep penetration: Hydrolyzed HA (low MW, <5kDa) penetrates to deeper epidermal layers for sustained moisturisation
- Fine line reduction: Plumps the appearance of crow's feet and under-eye hollows within minutes of application
Adenosine ~0.04%Proven
A Korean FDA-approved anti-wrinkle functional ingredient. Adenosine is a naturally occurring nucleoside found in all living cells. Topical application at concentrations as low as 0.04% has been shown in clinical trials to reduce the depth of dynamic wrinkles — particularly expression lines around the eyes (crow's feet) — by stimulating collagen synthesis and improving skin elasticity.
- Mechanism: Activates adenosine receptors in fibroblasts, upregulating collagen I and III production
- Clinical evidence: A double-blind RCT found significant reduction in wrinkle depth after 8 weeks of topical Adenosine use
- Approved: Listed as a functional anti-wrinkle active by the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS)
Ascorbyl Glucoside (Stable Vitamin C) ~100 ppmProven
A highly stable glycosylated form of Vitamin C that resists oxidation unlike pure L-Ascorbic Acid. Converted to active Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) enzymatically in the skin, delivering sustained brightening and antioxidant effects without the instability or irritation associated with pure Vitamin C formulations.
- Stability: Stable across a wide pH range; does not degrade when exposed to air or light
- Brightening: Inhibits tyrosinase enzyme activity, reducing melanin synthesis and dark spot formation
- Collagen synthesis: Converted to L-Ascorbic Acid in skin to support collagen production and photoprotection
Arbutin ~0.1–0.5%Promising
A naturally derived tyrosinase inhibitor extracted from bearberry, blueberry, and pear plants. Works by competitively blocking the enzyme that produces melanin, making it a complementary brightening active alongside Niacinamide and Ascorbyl Glucoside for a multi-pathway approach to dark circle reduction.
- Mechanism: Reversible tyrosinase inhibition — slows melanin production without cell toxicity
- Evidence: Multiple in vitro and some clinical studies support brightening efficacy at concentrations of 1–3%; lower concentrations show supporting effects
- Safety: Generally considered safe; does not convert to hydroquinone in normal use conditions at cosmetic concentrations
Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate (Licorice Root) traceProven
The potassium salt of glycyrrhizinic acid derived from licorice root. A powerful anti-inflammatory and skin-calming active that helps reduce redness, puffiness, and irritation around the delicate eye area. Also exhibits mild skin-brightening properties by inhibiting melanin production pathways.
- Anti-inflammatory: Inhibits prostaglandin synthesis and reduces histamine-triggered reactions
- Brightening: Mild tyrosinase inhibition complementing the formula's brightening complex
- Soothing: Widely used in formulas targeting redness, rosacea, and sensitive skin concerns
Glucomannan (Konjac Root) ~1–3%Proven
A high-molecular-weight polysaccharide from the Konjac plant with exceptional water-absorbing capacity. Functions as both a gelling agent for the hydrogel patch structure and as a plumping active. Part of BASF's Ultra Filling Spheres technology concept — forms micro-spheres that expand upon contact with skin moisture to visibly fill fine lines and wrinkles.
- Water absorption: Can absorb up to 200× its weight in water, providing superior hydration in the patch matrix
- Plumping: Creates a filling effect in fine lines and wrinkles, particularly visible around the eye area
- Film-forming: Contributes to the smooth, non-slip adhesion of the hydrogel patch
Allantoin ~0.5%Proven
A well-studied skin-soothing agent derived from the comfrey plant. Promotes cell renewal and wound healing, softens and smooths the skin's surface, and exhibits anti-irritant properties that counterbalance the potential sensitising effects of citrus essential oils in the formula.
- Cell renewal: Stimulates keratinocyte proliferation and healthy skin cell turnover
- Anti-irritant: Reduces redness and sensitivity; frequently used in post-procedure and sensitive-skin products
- Moisturising: Improves skin texture and promotes a soft, smooth feel after patch removal
Tocopherol (Vitamin E) traceProven
A lipid-soluble antioxidant that protects skin cell membranes from oxidative damage caused by UV radiation, pollution, and environmental stressors. Works synergistically with Vitamin C derivatives in this formula to provide enhanced free-radical protection and help stabilise the formula.
- Antioxidant synergy: Vitamin E regenerates oxidised Vitamin C, amplifying the antioxidant effect of both actives
- Cell membrane protection: Prevents lipid peroxidation in the delicate skin around the eyes
- Skin conditioning: Improves skin texture and contributes to a smooth post-patch feel

Where it fits in your routine
ROUTINEApply after toner on clean, dry under-eye area. Leave on for 5–20 minutes, then remove and pat in remaining serum. Use AM and/or PM. Store in the fridge for an extra cooling, depuffing effect.
How to use
HOW TO USECleanse & Tone
Start with freshly cleansed, toned skin. The under-eye area should be free of residue so the hydrogel patch can adhere properly and the serum can penetrate effectively.
Remove Patch with the Included Spatula
Use the spatula provided in the jar to lift a single eye patch from the container. Avoid using your fingers to prevent product contamination and ensure hygienic use.
Apply Under Each Eye
Place one patch beneath each eye, positioning the curved edge close to the lower lash line and smoothing outward toward the temples. The embossed texture grips the skin and stays in place even while moving.
Leave On for 5–20 Minutes
For an instant wake-up effect, 5 minutes is sufficient. For intensive brightening and anti-aging treatment, leave on for up to 20 minutes. Refrigerate the jar beforehand for an enhanced cooling and depuffing experience.
Remove & Pat In Remaining Serum
Peel off each patch and discard (single use only). Gently pat any remaining serum into the skin with your ring finger using light tapping motions. Do not rub or pull the delicate under-eye skin. Continue with eye cream and moisturiser.
Use AM and/or PM — Up to Daily
These patches are gentle enough for daily use, morning or evening. For best long-term brightening results, use consistently for at least 4–8 weeks. In the morning, always follow with SPF 30+ to protect Vitamin C's brightening work.

Frequently asked questions
FAQThis product requires caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The formula contains several essential oils — including Bergamot Fruit Oil, Lavender Oil, Ylang Ylang (Cananga Odorata) Flower Oil, Lemon Peel Oil, and Orange Peel Oil — which are generally advised against near the eye area during pregnancy. Additionally, Limonene and Linalool (fragrance allergens) are listed ingredients. No retinoids, hydroquinone, or salicylic acid are present. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, we recommend consulting your OB/GYN or dermatologist before use, or opting for a formula free of essential oils.
Yes — this product is considered fungal acne (Malassezia folliculitis) safe. The formula does not contain fermented ingredients, problematic fatty acids (lauric acid, myristic acid), esters, or polysorbates at concentrations that would feed Malassezia yeast. Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate is present at trace amounts in an eye patch format and is not absorbed in quantities that would trigger a reaction for most FA-prone individuals. Always patch test first if you have a history of fungal acne reactions.
Yes to all. The patch uses Ascorbyl Glucoside (a stable Vitamin C derivative), which is compatible with niacinamide, retinol, AHAs, and BHAs without interaction or stability issues. There is no pH conflict since Ascorbyl Glucoside works at a neutral pH range unlike L-Ascorbic Acid. Use the patch in place of your regular eye treatment on any given night. If you use retinol in your routine, apply the patch as part of your morning or pre-retinol routine for maximum Vitamin C efficacy without overlap concerns.
These patches are best suited for oily, combination, normal, and mature skin types. They are particularly effective for anyone dealing with dark circles, puffiness, fine lines (crow's feet), or dullness in the under-eye area. For very dry skin, follow up with a richer eye cream after patch removal. For highly sensitive or reactive skin (especially those with known citrus or essential oil sensitivities), patch test first — the formula contains Limonene, Linalool, and multiple essential oils that may cause stinging or irritation in a small percentage of users.
Immediate results (plumping, brightening, reduced puffiness) are visible after the first use thanks to the triple Hyaluronic Acid complex and Glucomannan. For measurable dark circle reduction, consistent use for 4–8 weeks is recommended — Niacinamide requires approximately 4 weeks to inhibit melanin transfer noticeably, while Adenosine's collagen-boosting effects on crow's feet become apparent after 6–8 weeks. Long-term use significantly amplifies brightening results from the Ascorbyl Glucoside and Arbutin complex.
Apply after cleansing and toning (Step 3 in a standard K-beauty routine), before serums, eye creams, and moisturiser. The hydrogel patch is applied to clean, toned skin and left on for 5–20 minutes. After removal, pat in the remaining serum, then continue with your regular essence, serum, eye cream, and moisturiser. Use morning and/or evening. In the morning, always apply SPF 30+ sunscreen afterward to protect Vitamin C's brightening effects from UV degradation.
No. This product has a comedogenic rating of 1 out of 5 — effectively non-comedogenic. The hydrogel base (Carrageenan, Glucomannan, Guar Gum, Chondrus Crispus) contains no heavy occlusive oils, waxes, or butters. Key emulsifiers (Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate) score 0–1 on the comedogenic scale. The formula is safe for acne-prone skin and will not block pores. Niacinamide in the formula may also actively help reduce sebum production and minimise the appearance of enlarged pores.
The jar contains 60 individual hydrogel patches — enough for 30 full uses (one pair per session). Used daily, the product will last approximately one month. Used every other day or 3–4 times per week, a single jar lasts 2–3 months. After opening, use within 12 months for optimal potency of Vitamin C actives and formula hygiene. Always use the included spatula (not your fingers) to remove patches to prevent contamination and extend the shelf life of remaining patches.
Verdict: The Goodal Green Tangerine Vita C Eye Patch Gels deliver on their promise of brightening, plumping, and hydrating the under-eye area with a genuinely impressive roster of actives — clinically effective Niacinamide at ~4–5%, Korean MFDS-approved Adenosine anti-wrinkle ingredient, triple-weight Hyaluronic Acid, stable Ascorbyl Glucoside Vitamin C, and the brand's signature Green Tangerine Extract packed with 10× the Vitamin C of regular tangerines. The results from the very first use are real, and consistent long-term use yields meaningful improvement in dark circles and fine lines. The formula is fungal acne safe, non-comedogenic, cruelty-free, and free from synthetic fragrances. The one caveat is the inclusion of multiple essential oils and fragrance allergens (Limonene, Linalool) — not ideal for reactive skin or during pregnancy. For everyone else, this is one of the best-value, most complete brightening eye patch formulas in K-beauty at this price point.

Quick Product Notes
Ever used a product that promised a certain effect but provided no results? It might not have contained any notable ingredients that could have been responsible for that promised effect. It doesn't matter what the marketing or packaging «promises» it can do, if it doesn't contain anything that can help - then the likelihood of it helping is low.

Ingredient Safety Breakdown refers to the percentage % of ingredients in different risk categories as classified by EWG (Environment Working Group) if they are available. There are almost endless cosmetic ingredients and they are one of the few organisations globally that have assigned ratings to a lot of the more commonly used ingredients which is why we reference them.
EWG is seen by many to be more on the alarmist side in their assignment of health ratings resulting in rating ingredients as riskier than they actually are. We recommend using this a reference point rather than a strict guide of ingredient safety and to always do further research if into ingredients that you may find suspect.
