Barrier Repair

Five cold-pressed plant oils work together to replenish and reinforce your skin's lipid barrier, locking in moisture and keeping irritants out.

Sebum Balancing

Jojoba oil mimics natural sebum, helping to regulate oil production in both oily and dry zones of combination skin.

Antioxidant Protection

Sea buckthorn and vitamin E deliver powerful antioxidants that neutralize free radicals and combat premature aging from daily stressors.

Deep Nourishment

Essential fatty acids from grapeseed and camellia oils soften skin and deliver long-lasting hydration without heaviness or greasiness.

02

Safety & compatibility

SAFE
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Safe

Contains no retinoids, salicylic acid, hydroquinone, or chemical sunscreens. All seven ingredients are 100% plant-derived and considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Not Fungal Acne (Malassezia) Safe

Contains plant oils rich in oleic acid and fatty acids (grapeseed, camellia, sea buckthorn, olus oil) that can feed Malassezia yeast. Avoid if prone to fungal acne.

Low Comedogenic Rating (1/5)

Jojoba and squalane rate 0–1, grapeseed and camellia rate 1–2. The blend is lightweight and non-clogging for most skin types.

Sensitive Skin Friendly

Free from fragrances, essential oils, dyes, parabens, sulfates, and silicones. Minimal 7-ingredient formula reduces irritation risk. Patch test recommended for very reactive skin.

Compatible with Active Ingredients

Can be layered with retinol, vitamin C, AHAs, and BHAs. Apply actives first, then seal with the oil. Helps buffer potential irritation from strong actives.

Allergen Note

Free from top common allergens including fragrances, preservatives, and nickel. Contains no nuts. Those with specific plant oil allergies should review the INCI list.

Ingredient breakdown

INGREDIENTS

Jojoba Seed Oil Listed 1stProven

A liquid wax ester that closely mimics the structure of human sebum. Exceptionally stable and non-comedogenic, it provides long-lasting moisture while helping regulate oil production.

  • Sebum mimicry: Completely miscible with human sebum, may signal skin to reduce excess oil production
  • Stability: Remains stable even when heated to 370°C for 96 hours — one of the most shelf-stable plant oils
  • Dual action: Forms a semi-occlusive layer on the surface while also absorbing into intercellular spaces for deep softening
Comedogenic rating 0–2. One of the safest oils for acne-prone skin due to its wax ester structure rather than triglyceride composition.

Squalane Listed 2ndProven

A saturated, plant-derived hydrocarbon that is naturally found in human sebum. Provides exceptional emolliency and prevents transepidermal water loss with elegant cosmetic feel.

  • Biocompatible: Identical to a molecule naturally produced in human skin, making it extremely well-tolerated
  • TEWL prevention: Acts as an occlusive to reduce transepidermal water loss without a heavy, greasy feel
  • Universal compatibility: Suitable for all skin types including sensitive, oily, and acne-prone skin
Comedogenic rating 0–1. Fungal acne safe as a standalone ingredient (pure hydrocarbon, not a fatty acid).

Grapeseed Oil Listed 4thPromising

A light emollient oil rich in polyphenols, linoleic acid, and vitamin E. Provides antioxidant protection and helps strengthen the skin barrier.

  • Linoleic acid: High in linoleic acid (omega-6), which supports barrier repair — skin low in linoleic acid is more prone to acne
  • Polyphenols: Contains proanthocyanidins, powerful antioxidants that help protect against UV-induced oxidative damage
  • Lightweight: One of the lightest plant oils, absorbs quickly without leaving a heavy residue

Camellia Japonica Seed Oil Listed 5thPromising

A prized Japanese and Korean beauty oil rich in oleic acid and vitamins A, B, and E. Softens, conditions, and helps restore skin's natural moisture balance.

  • Oleic acid rich: Contains up to 85% oleic acid, providing deep conditioning and softening for dry or mature skin
  • Traditional use: Revered in East Asian beauty for centuries as a hair and skin conditioning treatment
  • Anti-inflammatory: Contains natural anti-inflammatory compounds that help soothe irritation
High oleic acid content can feed Malassezia yeast. Not recommended for fungal acne-prone skin.

Sea Buckthorn Oil Listed 6thPromising

A rare, nutrient-dense oil containing the uncommon omega-7 (palmitoleic acid), along with vitamins C, E, and A, carotenoids, and plant sterols.

  • Omega-7: One of the rare plant sources of palmitoleic acid, which supports skin healing and regeneration
  • Carotenoids: Rich in beta-carotene and other carotenoids that give skin a natural radiance boost
  • Phytosterols: Contains plant sterols that soothe skin and help reduce redness and inflammation

Tocopherol (Vitamin E) Listed 3rdProven

Pure vitamin E in its natural form. A powerful fat-soluble antioxidant that protects both skin and the formula itself from oxidative damage.

  • Photoprotection: Provides significant protection against UVB-induced damage when applied topically
  • Synergy: Works synergistically with vitamin C for enhanced antioxidant effects
  • Stabilizer: Also helps preserve the other plant oils in the formula from oxidation

Dispense 2–3 Drops

After cleansing, toning, and applying water-based serums, dispense 2–3 drops of the oil into your palms. A little goes a long way.

2

Warm Between Palms

Gently rub your palms together to warm the oil slightly. This enhances absorption and helps the oils spread more evenly.

Press the oil into your face and neck using gentle patting motions. Avoid rubbing or dragging. Focus on dry or dehydrated areas.

4

Follow with Moisturizer (Optional)

For extra hydration, layer your moisturizer on top. At night, you can use the oil as your final step to seal everything in. In the AM, follow with SPF.

Frequently asked questions

FAQ

Yes. Pure Beam Luxe Oil contains only 7 plant-derived ingredients — jojoba oil, squalane, tocopherol (vitamin E), grapeseed oil, camellia oil, sea buckthorn oil, and olus oil. It contains no retinoids, salicylic acid, hydroquinone, chemical sunscreens, or any other ingredients flagged as unsafe during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It is one of the safest facial oils you can use during this period.

No. While squalane on its own is fungal acne safe, this product also contains plant oils rich in fatty acids — including grapeseed oil, camellia japonica seed oil, sea buckthorn oil, and olus oil — which can feed Malassezia yeast. If you are prone to fungal acne, this product is not recommended. Consider The Ordinary 100% Squalane as a fungal-acne-safe alternative.

Yes. Pure Beam Luxe Oil can be safely layered with retinol, vitamin C serums, AHAs, and BHAs. Apply your water-based actives first, allow them to absorb, then apply the oil on top. The oil actually helps buffer potential irritation from strong actives and seals in their benefits. Vitamin E in the formula works synergistically with topical vitamin C.

Pure Beam Luxe Oil works well for all skin types, but it is particularly excellent for dry, combination, normal, and sensitive skin. Jojoba oil mimics natural sebum, making it effective at balancing combination skin. For oily skin, use sparingly (1–2 drops) at night. The fragrance-free, minimal formula makes it ideal for sensitive and easily irritated skin.

You will notice immediate softness and a dewy glow from the very first use. Improvements in dryness and skin comfort typically appear within 1–2 weeks of daily use. Visible barrier strengthening, better oil balance, and overall radiance develop over 4–8 weeks with consistent morning and night application.

Apply the oil after water-based products (cleanser, toner, essence, serum) and before or after your moisturizer. Oils should go toward the end of your routine since they are occlusive and can block absorption of water-based products applied after them. You can also mix 1–2 drops into your moisturizer. In the morning, apply before sunscreen.

Pure Beam Luxe Oil has a low comedogenic rating of 1 out of 5. Jojoba oil (0–2) and squalane (0–1) are among the least pore-clogging oils available. Grapeseed oil (1) and camellia oil (1–2) are also low on the comedogenic scale. Most users will not experience clogged pores, though individual reactions can vary — patch testing is always wise.

The PAO (Period After Opening) is 12 months. Jojoba oil and squalane are exceptionally stable — jojoba in particular resists oxidation far better than most plant oils. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. The glass dropper bottle helps protect the formula from light and air exposure. Using 2–3 drops twice daily, the 30ml bottle typically lasts about 2–3 months.

— Skincarisma verdict
4.2 / 5 ★★★★☆

Verdict: Peach & Lily Pure Beam Luxe Oil is a beautifully simple, clean face oil that delivers exactly what it promises — soft, nourished, glowing skin. The minimalist 7-ingredient formula of cold-pressed plant oils is excellent for barrier repair, sensitive skin, and anyone wanting a no-fuss, fragrance-free oil. It loses points on value (30ml for $43 is steep when individual oils are widely available cheaper) and the lack of actives. Not fungal acne safe. Best for: dry, combination, and sensitive skin types seeking a luxe, clean facial oil with reliable barrier-supporting ingredients.

lightbulb What are Notable Effects & Ingredients?

Ever used a product that promised a certain effect but provided no results? It might not have contained any notable ingredients that could have been responsible for that promised effect. It doesn't matter what the marketing or packaging «promises» it can do, if it doesn't contain anything that can help - then the likelihood of it helping is low.

Please note that different notable ingredients have varying levels of research behind them, some are extremely well proven yet some have mixed research in their efficacy.

Just because a product doesn't contain any notable ingredients doesn't mean it's bad. And a product with notable ingredients (or even many) doesn't necessarily guarantee the efficacy of the product performing these effects either. lightbulb What is the Ingredient Safety Breakdown?

Ingredient Safety Breakdown refers to the percentage % of ingredients in different risk categories as classified by EWG (Environment Working Group) if they are available. There are almost endless cosmetic ingredients and they are one of the few organisations globally that have assigned ratings to a lot of the more commonly used ingredients which is why we reference them.

muscle Pro Tip Alert!

EWG is seen by many to be more on the alarmist side in their assignment of health ratings resulting in rating ingredients as riskier than they actually are. We recommend using this a reference point rather than a strict guide of ingredient safety and to always do further research if into ingredients that you may find suspect.
