my natural skin is decently dry, so i thought i'd try this product to try and combat that. i really wanted to love it but it broke me out pretty badly after using. although it gave me an initial glow the first time i used it, i found that my acne-prone skin did not like continuous use of this product.

I have combination-oily acne prone skin that is sensitized by acne fighting treatments, this product helps me keep my skin hydrated along with the NMF cream from The ordinary. Make sure to use a thermal water before and apply it to wet/damp skin in order for it to use that water and not draw water from your skin.

I was so convinced I'd love this that I bought 2 bottles, luckily deciem have a great returns policy so it's not too much bother to return.

Unfortunately this went on really tacky and pilled no matter how little I used and how much time I waited in-between, and I experimented with this quite a lot.

It seemed to affect how my other products went on and performed, I also found my skin drier and tighter after using, with or without damp skin. I'm from a humid place, so thought this would be perfect.

I've switched to TO marine hyaluronics instead, which performs much better for my skin. Would recommend trying that if this doesn't work out for you.

I found this product online as a dupe for a drunk elephant product, and it is great. I use it twice a day, as there is no active ingredients it can't be used with. I use it after my active products (such as vitamin C, retinol, AHA's and BHA's etc) and before my moisturiser (and sunscreen in the mornings of course!). When I first put on the serum it seemed a bit sticky, but this was a problem that was easily resolved by putting on my moisturiser over the top. I have combination skin, and I found it was good for both my oily T zone and dry cheeks. It was not overly hydrating in my T zone, but still had enough hydration to make my cheeks and dry spots happy too. My skin is also dehydrated, and this was a big help for that problem. The dehydration is part of the reason I get acne, so it helped a bit with my acne. It did not really make a difference in the size of my pores, or with the discolouration and uneveness of my skin tone. I also did not really notice much of a change when it came to my post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). Overall, I think this product is definatly worth the try, especially at such a low price point compared to other brands. It also comes in a cute little glass bottle with a pipette to extract the product, which is really nice.

I feel terrible for leaving only a 3 star rating . I am currently living in Japan and the winters here are really dry and windy . I already have dry and sensitive skin so I thought HA will be my holy grail during that time of the year . However, when there's little humidity in the air the HA will draw the needed water from your own skin leaving it more dry . I will try this again in the following months.

I've been using this for a year almost and have seen a great improvement in my skin.
My skin looks and feels much more hydrated and brighter.
The dullness of my skin has reduced greatly.

There is an odd texture but easily spreads on skin.
I use this after washing my face in the morning and at night.
I let this sit on my face to soak in for about 2 minutes, and then use my other serums and then moisturiser.

I have repurchased this about 6 times.
I have had no side effects or issues with this for my combination and sensitive skin.
