Community: 1 Rating • 2 ReviewsI've been using oils on my face for a couple of years with no issues. I've used DHC Cleansing Oil for 20 years with no issues. I had this rose oil and had used it on my neck with no issues. Then I decided to play mad scientist and mixed it with my Herbivore Lapis and Sunday Riley UFO. I left on an overseas trip and noticed a patch of bumps on my forehead, a bit itchy, and very unusual for me. I chalked it up to work stress and chaos of airports etc. I didn't take my facial oil, but had some salicylic acid and some Olay Classic Night Cream with BHA, and used that. it went away in just a couple of days. When I got home, I started back on my oils. Next thing I knew, the spot was back, and then it spread and was itching like crazy. I had no clue what was going on. I knew it wasn't shingles. I started researching and came across fungal acne. I kept saying I hadn't changed my skincare routine, and then it hit me about the oils. I found simpleskincarescience and I found this website. When I searched the Korres Wild Rose oil and saw the numerous fungal acne feeders in the list, I knew I'd found the culprit. I immediately dumped the facial concoction. I cleared up the breakout in a few days with a mask of Nizoral twice a day. I just hope this doesnt leave me prone to getting fungal acne because I love my Lapis ☹.
I bought this product mostly because of the packaging - it looks very nice but it's quite expensive in my opinion. This oil has it's flaws if it comes to ingredients but it's more lightweight than a typical rose oil because of all the ingredients. I didn't get any reactions to this product and I've already started a 3rd packaging of it. It helped a lot with my dull skin full of pigmentation and acne.
