I love Dermalogica but this failed to meet the standard that I've come to expect from their products.
A very small amount of this white fluid is needed to cover your face and neck, there is however a very fine line between perfect coverage and greasy mess. This product when a little too much is used is a horrible base for makeup as your skin stays shiny all day and makeup tends to smudge and look as if it is melting off your face. This product has quite a strong herbal smell that luckily disappears after a few minutes. My skin does tend to flush a bit when I use this as it feels as if it is "suffocating" my skin and I did notice a few more blackheads around my nose and cheeks. The sunscreen has a high SPF rating and my skin was protected and did not burn while out in the sun. I feel that a lot of sunscreens are able to achieve the protection that this product offers at a quarter of the price.
I gave this product 3 stars because it is after all just a sunscreen and does what most sunscreens do. I would prefer if this did not leave such a shiny residue and that it was a lighter formula that did not leave a heavy pore-clogging feeling on my face.
