Yes. Liquid and cream foundations usually keep about two years unopened and around 12 months after opening, the 12M symbol on most bottles. Powder foundations last longer. A foundation with SPF should not be relied on for sun protection after its printed date.
General cosmetics guidance for foundation, not a brand promise. A date or open-jar symbol printed on your pack always wins.
The batch code is on the bottom of the bottle or the crimp of the tube; the open-jar symbol is on the label or the box.
About 12 months for liquids and creams, longer for powders. Pumps keep better than open bottles you pour or dip into.
The SPF part follows the rules for sunscreen: use the printed expiry date and do not count on the SPF after it.
If it looks, smells and applies as it did, it is unlikely to harm you, but anything that has changed should go.
