Worked great until it didn’t...

I puchased this product in an attempt to help keep my pores clean, but it dried out my skin and I still have terrible black heads/white heads. My skin feels stripped of all moisture when I use this product. Since it is winter my skin is more dry than oily but I do not feel that this product has helped my pores whatsoever.
