When I first used it, it tingled a little bit but after a few seconds I didn't feel anything. My skin became really smooth though! If your skin can tolerate it you can use it everyday! I have sensitive skin and I tried using it every night and haven't felt any kind of irritation. About it claims on hydrating your skin, it's totally false, it didn't hydrate my skin, but I don't mind it, it's main focus is on gentle exfoliation. It's really is a good products for every skin type, people with acne-prone skin would enjoy this since mandelic acid has anti-bacterial benefits, hence keeping some acne/pimple at bay. I have a few pimples and it helped a little, though you have to use it constantly to make a change or notice a difference. On broken skin or freshly popped pimples stings! So be careful please... I have eczema on my hands, and one time I had a soooo little scratch/cut on one of my fingers and it stung a bit.
Also about the scent, it has a interesting scent, I can't really describe it, but like a nut scent with a hint of acid?? (if that even makes sense)
Overall good products for acid newbies and every skin type. I would repurchase! (also I hope they come out with a bigger version :D )
This toner contains 5% mandelic acid that easily penetrates skin to help improve pigmentation and help with blemishes. Along with panthenol, centella asiatica extract, and beta glucan, this toner restores hydration while gently exfoliating skin at the same time without causing anymore irritation so it's safe enough for people with sensitive skin.
I've used this toner for more than two weeks now and fortunately I didn't have to go through any purging. I use it once every two days and only at night. So far, I really love the experience because it doesn't really feel like it's stripping your skin alive. I don't experience any harsh sensation like many other acid toners do—although on some acne scar it does sting a little bit, but this happens only on fresh ones. If anything, I sometimes forget that it's an exfoliator that I use it a little bit too much like I'm using my hydrating toner haha! It is really that comfortable to use because it doesn't leave my skin even drier.
This product is my HOLY GRAIL for hyperpigmentation it really has helped me fade it away and also improve my skin texture and made it smooth it also helped me a lot with my acne so i really recommend for people that has acne-prone skin of how amazing it works!! but if you're new to chemical exfoliater it usually takes a few days to get used to it and i only use this 3 times a week
I actually just started using this a week ago, but I already see a HUGE difference on my skin :D
I got a hormonal breakout on both sides of my jaw a couple of weeks ago, and it didn't seem to disappear by itself. I normally don't suffer with acne anymore, just some occasionally breakouts during the your.
I earlier used glycolic acid, but it felt too harsh on my sensitive skin, and I just became more red afterwards on my cheeks. Then I tried a toner with AHA, BHA and PHA, but it didn't do much for me and therefor I decided to try out this mandelic acid.
Since I already was used to using my toner with AHA, BHA and PHA and I knew it contained glycolic acid, I thought it would be okay to use this both AM and PM. So I did that, and I just have to say: WOW! ♡ My breakout is nearly gone, my face is less red and the pores are smaller ♡ I'll definitely continue using this, maybe not 2 times a day but at least every evening!
very gentle, saw results after just one use. I have sensitive skin and my skin don't get irritated if I use this each other day. Very gentle but effective.
