This product is a nice foam so that it doesn't irritate the skin. I found though, after many uses, it seemed to make my skin oilier. After i stopped using the wash for a few weeks, i found that it calmed down quiet a bit. It also has a slight baby-powder smell, which i am not sure is good for the skin. I personally have combination skin, so I am not sure how it would behave on oily skin, but it is definitely not made for dry to combination skin.
This product was awful for my dry skin. In fact i ended up trying the Cetaphil gentle cleanser after this product because i needed my skin to recover from the Dermacontrol Oil Control Foam Facewash and my skin got worse instead. I broke out even more with many more blackheads. Cetaphil is not for everyone. While the brand may work perfectly fine for some it does not work for me.
Since this is a foam wash, it really does control the oil on my face. This helped me lessen my acne. I wash my face two (2) times a day with this cleanser. My dermatologist recommended this to me after having mild acne. I now only have a few pimples that keeps coming up when I have my period.
