I bought this product, because I thought that due to its ingredients list it would be suitable for my dry skin (but with acne problems), but unfortunately it was very drying and my skin started to peel. But I need to say that it was quite user-friendly - it smells good, you need just a small amount etc.
I use this product as a second cleanser after an oil cleanse or about twice a week. It doesn't seem to strip my skin and is the perfect amount of exfoliation without irritation on days that I have excess dead skin.
I've purchased this a few times now because it works well for me and is quite affordable. My partner started using it on the sly and he loves it too.
I have dehydrated combo skin, and ever since I started serious skincare, I've been using Simple Micellar Facial Gel Wash as my primary cleanser, and I am still using it to this day. Some days I found that the simple cleanser cleansed too lightly for my liking, as someone with combo skin, some days you are more oily than dry. Hence, I bought this cleanser from Heimish in hopes of a stronger cleanse with that ph balance reassurance. And, I got just that. When I was struggling with dehydration due to skinfasting, I felt that the cleanser stripped my skin a bit, but that was because my skin was already struggling in the first place. When I finally fixed my dehydration issues(thanks to squalane oil), I find that the cleanser is perfect for cleansing my face thoroughly without making it feel parched and tight. So, if you are suffering from dehydration or dry skin (and your skincare routine is not fixing that), then avoid this cleanser and just get the Simple Micellar Facial Gel Wash. I believe that will not dry out your skin further. I think this heimish cleanser is more suitable for oily and combination skin. As for the texture, it's a dense gel that lathers into a rich cream. Smells a bit like glue and washes off completely without making your skin feel weird to the touch afterwards. I also have no troubles with the witch hazel found in this cleanser, thankfully.
