Canola Oil
(Skin Conditioning, Emollient) |
This is considered to be Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrates day formulation. This is very similar to the Midnight Recovery Concentrate which is used at night, the texture is the same. This is a "dry" oil so it absorbs into your skin quickly when you pat 1-2 drops onto your face, its consistency is not thick and slippery compared to an olive oil and it does not melt and become runnier when warm.
I use this as a serum/ampule before my moisturizer and I never have a greasy residue left on my face.
This has definitely lightened some hyperpigmentation left on my cheeks from previous breakouts and I credit this to the Tamanu Oil, which is excellent at repairing damaged cells as well as the citrus which I imagine has a small amount of vitamin C - known for its brightening effects.
