Smooth and fresh skin at one stroke

I use this as a cleanser/scrub once or twice a month. At first I was scared of the lavender oil, but it doesn't seem to irritate my skin. What I like about it is that after every use I can not stop touching my skin (not so good, I know). The point is, that my skin gets very soft and clean after this cleanser. Also, it is a good alternative for cleansing gel when you feel like you need gentle exfoliation, but don't want to use acids.

I do not suggest using this product everyday, even though it exfoliates skin very gently, I still think that it is a physical exfoliant and you need to be careful with it. Another concern is that once you open the product you can feel how scented it is and for me, personally, it is a little too much of fragrance.

If you think of using it as a magic acne cure (I know I did), it may not be the best choice. It just doesn't work that way. Look at it as a very hydrating cleanser with a bit too much fragrance and essential oil.

For everyday

I use this as my everyday cleanser, it feels and smells amazing on the skin. It also helps out to balance my skin during normal periods. Since it gently exfoliates, my post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) has lighten a bit. Even though my skin is acne prone this doesn't break me out. My new favourite cleanser

i have the type of skin where i need to gently exfoliate on a daily basis and this cleanser serves the purpose well. it has fine ground almonds which exfoliate your skin gently and together with the lavender and chamomile buds, it makes you feel like you're at the spa. some people might not like the smell, but i find it soothing. i look forward to cleansing my face because of this cleanser. it can get a bit messy if you are unsure of how to use it as it is a solid paste. a tip from me on how to apply this cleanser:

  1. wash your hands and wet your face.
  2. dry both of your hands.
  3. pinch a pea size of the paste and put it into one of your hand.
  4. add water little by little until you are satisfied with the consistency. don't make it too runny.
  5. gently scoop some of the paste and apply it on your face using circular motion.
  6. rinse off once you're done and you're good to go!

A good summer cleanser

This is a clay based cleanser that is made up of 100% natural ingredients. It is formulated with ground almond nuts which exfoliate your skin, there are also small pieces of lavender which calm the skin. The Kaolin (clay) surprisingly does not dry out my dry skin if I use it during summer when my skin is a little oilier than usual. This product could last me 6 months because you use so little at a time, but because it has no preservatives and is 100% natural Lush advises you to use it within 3 months.

I like to travel with this cleanser occasionally because it is solid (use a pea size amount with water to make a paste and then apply to face) and isn't likely to mess as a liquid would. I think that this would be suitable for combination skin types to use and that the Dark Angels cleanser formulated with charcoal would be better suited for very oily skin.

This cleanser exfoliates as well as cleans my face and I have definitely noticed a difference in the texture of my skin, it is a lot softer after use but I would not replace my exfoliator with this as it does not remove stubborn blackheads effectively.
