I thought these bumps was caused by my aha product so i kept using this moisturizer. I also noticed that my skin became oilier and turns out it was the culprit. Wouldn't recommend if u have normal/combo/oily skinskinThisThThisskinThisskinskinThisThThisskinThissThisThThisskinThisssThisThThisskinThiss
im glad that i purchased the trial kit. my skin is oily and im a teenager. there's tiny bumps appearing after 1-2 times using it. and a bit redness. my face felt itchy after using it. i stopped using but i decided to use it again to see if that was just skin purging or something but its still the same. after 1-2 times using it, redness/tiny bumps started appearing :( i stopped immediately bcs i dont want it to get worse. its not suitable for me. despite the price being affordable.. T_T
I observed a few tiny bumps appearing on my face. It feels so uncomfortable when i washed my face i can feel the rough-feeling. It was my first bottle and i was not going to repeat using it. After putting the lotion on my face i can feel my face was a bit cool and oily. It was not penetrating into my skin enough.
I have use this for 2 bottles and decided to stop on 3rd bottle after i realised the real culprit to my acne and sensitive skin is this moisturiser. It sting my skin and some other day it makes my skin too oily. I couldn't figure out what was the problem at the beginning as i start change this to clear skin oil balancing moisturiser by Simple (now no longer produce due to the rumours of containing paraben) as well my skin become better. No acne, no oily face.
One of the very first skin products I've ever used, so I definitely had a bit of a journey with this.
Childhood friend:
Got it when I was 16, and it was doing what it was supposed to do: kept my skin moisturized - and it did a dang good job at it. It helped loads that it was at a fairly cheap price (compared to other moisturizers)
it was living up to its brand name of being 'simple'.
Evil Former Friend:
Then came in oily skin when I entered my late teens; I went from combi-skin to full on oil-rig, and for someone living in a humid country, using this just made my skin oilier. It wasn't doing anything to trigger more acne or aggravate my skin but my face being oilier was a huge-negative that I had to stop using this completely, and I ended up using only a face toner and just skipping moisturizers altogether. It really pained me to abandon what used to work so well for me.
Redemption Arc (+Reconciliation):
I visited Australia and its dryer weather was really taking a toll on my skin, my reliable Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Lotion did its very best but wasn't enough. In comes in Simple's Light Moisturizer as the MVP.
It truly was a blessing that I had brought what little left there is of my abandoned moisturizer and at that point in time, it became my life-saver. My face was starting to feel very dehydrated, but after a couple use of liberal amounts of Simple's moisturizer, my skin had a 180 degree change- I need that very bottle blessed and baptized.
Ending:
While my skin fares better with lighter hydrating products as I'm still living in a humid country whilst having oily skin, Simple's my go-to in times of need, and I'm using it mostly on my neck and body now.
This product was recommended by alot of people as well as skincare guru. However, it did not leave a good impression on me. This contain ingredients that triggers my fungal acne, therefore this product is not fungal acne safe. It also make my skin more oily than usual, but it says "Hydrating Light".... I switched to other moisturizers that is better on my skin, and affordable, but for this, the price is quite good for a bottle of the moisturizers like that, it last for about 1½ months for me, i used it on my face and neck, but for now, i only applied it on my neck.
For my oily skin I dont think it did anything so if you are looking for something for that or fungal acne this is not the right product. But it is very good for sensitive skin! I only use this when I feel that my skin is a little more sensitive or if I use something strong on my skincare routine on that day because what I actually use normally is a moisturizer for oily skin or acne :)
