Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't - I couldn't really test out the product, because it left a grainy texture on my skin and was piling. So I couldn't layer my usual products or makeup with this product. I tried to just use it alone in the mornings - first i washed my face, then applied this and just my spf(tried different spf's as well), but I still could not get it to work with my skin. It's a shame, because it was my first skincare product related to vitamin c, and I had a negative experience. Otherwise I really love The Ordinary products, especially the niacinamide+zinc serum, aha+bha mask and hyaluronic acid.
I chose a derivative instead of pure vitamin c as I use peptides in the morning and acids at night, and this works perfectly as a part of my routine!
My skin looks bright, plump and has a healthy glow after using, it's probably one of my favourite TO products.
I use it as my last water based serum, as it's a bit thicker than the others and can foam a bit if too much is used. You need to give it 30-60 seconds to soak in, but it feels nice and moisturising after application.
I think there was some initial purging but it works brilliantly now.
