On Deciem’s homepage underneath every product there is a box with some great fast information. This is a feature I really love and if your skin is sensitive to certain ingredients this is a really simple way to do a basic screening when choosing what to buy.
This is a product that I find really hard to review. When a product claims to target multiple signs of aging it really takes a long time to test and I will let you know that I have tested a full bottle of this before even thought of writing a review on it. According to me this is still way to short time to tell you if it this is really working or not.
But I will try not to think about all the other stuff and really tell you what I think about The Ordinary Buffet as a product on its own.
I really find this product to be interesting. When analyzing all the good it is supposed to do I really believe that this product can make your skin appear younger.
It contains no alcohol, which I love since my skin is sensitive to alcohol and I really try to avoid product with this ingredient. pH is around 4,5-5,5 which is a great pH value for skincare and really great for sensitive skin types.
This serum has a smell to it, but it is more on the chemical side and not added perfume, so it really doesn’t bother me at all.
When applying it I use a few drops and massage it in all over my face. It will feel a little tacky on the skin but it absorbs really quickly and the tackiness is gone when applying the rest of my routine
Full of peptides and amino acids. Slightly tacky after application but I get used to it. Dry and sink in super fast and get on well with all other products I have in my routine without pilling or reaction. A full drop is enough for the whole face but I mostly apply a smaller tinier drop twice a day on my forehead and under eye area where I have fine lines, so I've used up a third (10ml) after 2.5 months. I see small improvement, as the only fine (dynamic) line I have on my forehead is not that visible, maybe because I'm more careful with my forehead movement too. Great price.
Deciem told me anti-aging is never early, but I'm mid-20s and after a while I don't feel the need of boosting collagen production that much. I don't want to depend on it, my own skin needs to work it out and I will leave peptides for later. I now use natural organic antioxidant serum on my entire face such as The Amazing 30 by Aroma Naturals. (I sugg iHerb which offers free and fast international shipping if you plan the order well, also they have many discounts. If you decide to buy on iHerb, enter WET3985 for an extra 5% off all products or 10% iHerb products - you can read about it, it's a referral program but I honestly love this product).
