I bought the toner together with the essence and unlike the eye essence, this did not sting my face and cause inflammation. However it is not nearly as fantastic as everyone makes it out to be. On first application, it felt hydrating but left a film like texture on my skin. The hydration did not last at all. The smell is really up to preference and I do not like it. It smells sharp and asttringent-like.

I tried doing the 7skin method as recommended by glowrecipe and I could not even get through the 3rd layer without feeling like it was just too much. My suggestion is to do a patch test because you might just be sensitive to fermented flowers and if you are like me, who is left with an expensive bottle of sub-par toner, good luck.

Similar to the consistency of a watery serum it is much heavier than an ordinary essence/toner. I love how instantly hydrating this is for my skin and that 2-3 drops covers my whole face. I pat a few drops of this into my skin and then after a few minutes apply a second layer, this absorbs so well that I can apply two layers without my skin feeling congested. This does not irritate any current breakouts and does not make open wounds burn either, I feel that it gives them a bit of moisture to aid the healing process.
