Great for rashes or extremely reactive skin

Skin Type: combination Skin

This is a very gentle cleansing gel-cream designed to calm and shield the skin, at that is exactly what it does. However, for me, it lacks on the cleansing aspect, which is the main reason to use a cleanser, and I only use when my skin is specially irritated because of special reasons, such as a rash caused by another product. I'd say it is a product to treat a skin condition, but not a reliable cleanser in my normal routine.
The texture is creamy and it doesn't foam at all. It leaves a residue on the skin that I feel is like the shield the product claims, but it can be annoying if you want to use more products on top, so I only use it at night. I also like it after a clay mask or other drying treatment. Used on its own it doesn't remove makeup.
I doubted a lot on the rating I would give this product, because I really like it and rely on it when I need it, I would give it five stars on the special occasions where I need extreme care and this is my salvation. But, on the other hand, I don't like as a stable product in my routine. That's why I gave it a medium rating.
I would only recommend this product for people with sensitive skin that need occasional special treatment or for someone with extremely reactive/rosacea prone skin. I feel it would be also helpful for people on strong acne medication.

When my acne was at its worst I used this cleanser, my skin was painful to the touch and warm water would make my skin angry and flare up. I used one pump in the morning and night, gently swiping over my face and rinsing with cool water. This immediately calmed the redness and did not cause any breakouts or infections in the open wounds. This cleanser did not remedy any other skin conditions such as blackheads or pigmentation but as it is a mild cleanser it can not be expected to perform as a harsher more targeted cleanser would. I would recommend this to anyone with sensitive skin or who is on a course of Isotretinoin (Accutane).
