Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract

I’ve been using this sunscreen for two months now and I really like it. Note that this is on the slightly pricier side (same price range as FANCL Sunguard SPF 50). Also I don’t use base complexion products (foundation or concealer) so I can’t give opinions on this sunscreen’s performance under a full face of makeup.
Pros:
- waterproof
- spreads easily
- very moisturizing (does not sting my drier tretinoin skin)
- dewy finish (even more so than Canmake Mermaid Gel UV)
- does not pill (note that my skincare routine is very low in silicones)
- compact + slim packaging that’s easy to squeeze
- unscented (no essential oils or synthetic fragrance)
Cons:
- stings eyes if I put some on my eyelids before a sweaty gym session (minor issue)
- dewy finish can be borderline greasy on my combo leaning dry skin when it’s really humid
- NOT coral reef safe (contains Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate aka Octinoxate)
- made by a smaller company which makes it an obscure product (I purchased this from Rakuten Global before it shut down)
- has two ingredients that aren’t fungal acne safe (not a current major concern for me)
- some silicone heavy cream makeup products might pill on top if applied with a rubbing vs. patting motion
Overall, this is a good sunscreen for but I would not use this for swimming since it is not coral reef safe. After I finish my current bottle I will try FANCL Sunguard SPF 50 (a waterproof physical/inorganic sunscreen). If you want to purchase this sunscreen you can do so at a store called LippLi in Kyoto, or email them at info@lippli.jp (in English or Japanese) for an EMS shipping quote to your country as they are willing to ship internationally.
