So effective!!

I wasn't expecting this to add so much moisture into my routine! After trying a number of Japanese lotions, I was underwhelmed. Even the much-loved Hadalabo weren't doing much for me. I do love ferments and rice in my skincare though and figured I could always use it as a morning cleansing toner. (I don't use wash off cleansers in the a.m.)

I do use it for a quick morning cleanse, but also as a moisturizing toner. It's far more moisturizing than thicker lotions and toners I've used. It's also calming when I wake up with allergies or when I've slept with my face in my pillow. My pores are less noticeable too! The bottle is 500ml so I use it generously! I haven't used it long enough to see if it will brighten any dark areas but the calming effect improves the overall brightness of my skin. Same with whether it will soften age lines beyond what any hydrator will do.

Consistency is just like water so it absorbs immediately. It's great if you do the 7 skin method.
Scent is slightly-sweet with a noticeable rice ferment/sake aroma.

Definitely recommend!

The best body toner!

This is a really nice face toner, but I really love to use it as a body 'lotion'. I'm unlucky enough to have a very oily/combination face, but dry skin everywhere else. Like another young lady suggested, this is much better utilized as a mist, as the pump bottle can be kinda messy (and in my case, got permanently stuck). A light spritzing all over your body is just enough to keep you set on humid days, and makes a wonderful primer for a heavier lotion or body butter when you need a bit more moisture. It works best after a bath, right after you've toweled off. Once I started using it on my body I never turned back. This is now a stable in my skincare.

Note: The smell's a bit funky if you aren't used to it, but it dissipates quickly.

I love it more than hyaluronic acid (and that is a lot)!

I really didn't think that such a huge bottle of something, actually anything could be any good.
But after the first time I used it I realized that it's even more hydrating than my old hyaluronic acid.
The bottle is a bit a PITA because it's so big, but I can work with that. The pump works well (closing it back down is a bit of a hassle) and I get enough product for my entire face and neck with one pump. I don't use it with cotton pads, I just pump it in my hand and apply on my damp skin.
I finish my routine with my daily/night cream and I'm good to go. There is some stickiness after application but once it dries or you apply a cream over it, all is well.
So far it's the most moisturizing product I own. I love it and my skin is combination with dry parts.

Best Toner EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I got this toner as i heard great reviews from the asian beauty subreddit , and it was pretty cheap for the price, so why not? It does its job and my skin feels very moisturised , its not sticky or tacky feeling at all. I definately would suggest decanting the toner into a mist bottle as the pump it comes with, is a bit awkward to use.

Wasn't for me

I purchased based on good reviews that I had read online. I was expecting this lotion to be perfectly hydrating for every day use. While I did find it to be hydrating, this product was just too sticky for me to use. I could see this being a good product for someone with dry skin, but for me it just didn't seem to absorb like it should. Even applying just one layer would leave a sticky film on my face that wouldn't go away. It also seemed like my other face products did not absorb past the film while I used this. Overall it was fairly hydrating but was not a good product for my skin. I have been using it on my body, which tends to lean more dry than the skin on my face, and it seems to be doing a great job on my arms and legs which is why I gave it 4 stars.
If you have dry or dehydrated skin and are looking for a product which will deliver hydration, I think this would be great. However, if you have normal to oily skin I think you may run into the same absorption issues I had.
