I love that this doesn't have that strong fragrance smell that I am used to in biore watery essence. I just finished my first bottle and i really love the way it absorbs into the skin and is easy to spread. It also doesn't take away moisture which is a bonus. I will buy a second bottle for sure.
I have dry and sensitive skin. This absorbs instantly so I love reapplying it 3x a day. It does not burn or itch me like most products, however it does make me very slightly pink all over. It's not pronounced, and mostly fades after a few minutes, but overall it's worth it to me (my fair skin looks very light pink most of the time anyway) to protect my skin from future wrinkles! If someone has rosacea I feel like this might exacerbate that.
I have extremely dry skin from 0.1% tretinoin to fight acne, and like everyone with dry skin I fear alcohol. Well, used to fear alcohol. This is the first sunscreen with alcohol that I've tried, and I'm amazed that it is much more moisturizing than any alcohol free American sunscreen that I've tried. Wait, what? You see, 99% of American sunscreens pill on me after a couple hours. And the few that don't pill make me look like a grease ball. When sunscreen pills on me, it ends up dehydrating my skin no matter how occlusive or moisturizing the sunscreen original was when it was applied. Applying (or reapplying) pilly American sunscreens also doesn't work, because it just leads to more pilling.
This Missha sunscreen applies beautifully, without ever pilling no matter how much I apply or how many hours has passed. I can also reapply it very easily without pilling, and each time it is reapplied it feels very soothing and moisturizing to the face the same way applying an essence does. It is an essence after all. However, you must apply this sunscreen over a thicker, creamy type moisturizer because it is not occlusive enough by itself. I use CeraVe cream and my skin has no problem staying hydrated all day. All of this is despite the alcohol, and despite that the fact that I typically wake up with a dry and flaky face in the winter.
I've tried a few other Korean sunscreens with alcohol in them after having tried this, and for the most part they also don't dry my skin as long as I layer my moisturizers under it (toner, essence/lotion, and most importantly, cream). Despite the alcohol, I trust the formulation of Asian sunscreens way more than pilly American ones that don't even have modern UV filters. Don't fear the alcohol!
