Pretty aight.

I use this in the morning and at night on my face, shoulders/upper back, and chest. My biggest complaint is that it leaves my face feeling super tight, despite my applying moisturizers and oils twice a day.

Does it unclog and shrink enlarged pores?
It sure as hell does unclog. I'd say it reduces my acne more than prescibed adapalene gel and equally as much as topical clindamycin. Im not certain it has a noticeable effect on pore size, though.

Does it smooth and even skin tone?
Ehhhh, kinda. It definitely reduces bumps on my chest, but I've yet to notice any differences of texture and tone on my back and face (besides pimples).

** Is it a lightweight liquid that absorbs quickly?**
Not really. it leaves my skin feeling somewhat greasy and slippery for ~two minutes after applying it.

Great Exfoliatant!

For those who are new to chemical exfoliants, this chemical exfoliant you don't wash off. You're suppose to let it set on your face for awhile and let it do it's job with breaking down and eating at dead skin.

I have very, very dry skin and still deal with flare-ups of eczema. I struggled with skin flakes most of my life before I learned more about skin-care, and this being the first exfoliant I've ever tried. Admittedly I was nervous, as it seems no matter what I put on my body, my skin would be bright red and often make it drier, itchy, and irritable. Thankfully it instead became the best decision I've ever made. Despite it being physiologically impossible, it at least appears as if my pores have shrunk even just after one use. Helping clearing up dead skin, it also greatly reduced acne as now there's little blockage for my pores. I use this 1-2 times a week, and it's still lasted me quite a bit despite the bottle I have being only a few ounces.

Will definitely purchase again once I run out!

Not fungal acne friendly

I wish I knew about this website before purchasing ANY skincare products. It started with the Paula's Choice 2% Salicylic Acid BHA. I was fully aware about the purging stage and that can last anywhere between 6-8 weeks after starting the product. My face broke out in tiny little flesh-like bumps all over my forehead. Some of them were whiteheads, some were a little red. I was convinced I was purging so I stuck it out. Two months pass and NO IMPROVEMENT. I have never broken out before and now my forehead is filled with bumps everywhere. Fortunately, it's hard to see because they're flesh-like color, but my forehead is all bumpy and I hate feeling it on my face. Turns out, Paula's BHA contains polysorbate which triggers fungal acnes, this website also notes that. I gave it a 3-star rating because I feel as if it WOULD work if your skin can handle it and you don't have issues with fungal acne. I have very oily skin due to living in humid conditions and fungal acne usually occurs in people with this type of skin Purchase with caution and be careful! The bottle states it can be used daily, but I recommend starting once or twice a week to see how your skin reacts.
