When I first bought this cream - I expected it to be thick and occlusive, like an ointment. Most "barrier repairing" / "recovery" products are like this - heavy and thick. But this product is quite lightweight. It's got the consistency of a body lotion. It still leaves a noticibly moisturizing feel on the skin after applying and long after. But it does not feel heavy nor greasy. In fact it leaves the skin looking very plump, youthful, and radiant - but not in that "oily" sense. It's calming and moisturizing, gentle on the skin, and wears well throughout the day. On lazy days, I will cleanse my skin and then use this moisturizer. Due to my dry skin, I have to layer on hydration and moisturizing products. But if I'm using this moisturizer - I can use it alone and feel fine. Which is definitely a testament to how hydrating and protective it can be without the backlash of acne / fungal acne flareups.

I have skin that is prone to fungal acne, and have used this product many times without any flareups. It doesn't do anything to treat fungal acne but it does soothe the slight "burn" that can be associated with it. I suggest patch testing if you have fungal acne, just to ensure that it wont flare up - as it does contain palmic acid, which can exacerbate fungal acne. I've used this several times, for weeks on end, without any issues. So it's a product I hold quite dear. But do be aware of any product you use.

Love that it's unscented as well. It could be a holy grail for those with dry and sensitive skin, looking for a comfortable but protective moisturizer.
