Where to start? This was the very first BB I ever tried, about 8 years ago. And danged if it didn't perform EXACTLY the way I'd read BB creams should. High coverage? Check. Moisture? Check. Skincare effects? Could it be true? CHECK.
This is the most yellow of Skin79's BB creams, and really, of any Korean BB I've used. It's definitely a high coverage cream consistency and smells a little medicinal- eucalyptus maybe. It fades after a few minutes. You only need a small amount to cover redness although I need to add a little more to the brown melasma patches on my cheekbones. Speaking of "adding more", this stuff does not layer well on itself. As in, you can't let it set and then add more. It will look so cakey and mask-like! So I recommend some experimental applications to judge how much you'll want to use each time. Honestly, it's not moisturizing enough for me, so I mix it 2:1 with a glowy, moist mixer.
Application has been optimal using fingers, though a rubycell puff does a good job as well. Using your hands will warm the cream and make it more spreadable. You don't want to rub it around though. Pat, pat, pat! As you press your fingers/palms to your face, the cream adheres smoothly an evenly. Even if I use a puff I still finish with some palm presses on cheeks and forehead.
Here's where my mind was blown: after using it daily for around a week, my skin was. So. Even. The whitening and anti-wrinkle claims have actually been real for me. My complexion has a smoother texture, my lines become finer, and I'm noticeably brighter. Redness and brown spots diminished.
BUT. It's not permanent. I can go about 3 days without the BB before my complexion darkens back up and lines deepen. The good thing is though, you need less per application. Over a couple of weeks I went from a full pump to probably half that to fully cover what I need it to.
My only complaint is the packaging which is clunky, doesn't have a seal on the spout, and holds a lot more than you'll actually be able to pump out. You can take the upper bit apart though and dip the rest of the cream out though!
