Good for Dry Skin
|
I've been using this for almost a year now with some breaks as a toner after cleansing my face and I absolutely love it. I have always had trouble with closed comedones and blackheads and this helped my skin tremendously. I only use it in the evening and follow up with a hydrating essence so it never made my skin dry or tight. It also never irritated my super sensitive skin or caused any problems and that seemed like a miracle (keeping the product's ingredients in mind).
I used this for a while and although it did get rid of some trouble patches, it unfortunately dried out my skin too much and made it feel tight/irritated/red after each time I used it. If you have sensitive skin, maybe avoid this product and opt for an exfoliator without alcohol in it.
I have sensitive-combination-acne prone skin type, with moderate acne, acne scars and dehydrated skin. (whew, sounds like a lot, right?)
I've tried the La Roche-Posay Effaclar 3 step in sample size for more than a month:
1. La Roche-Posay Effaclar Cleansing Foaming Gel
2. La Roche-Posay Effaclar Lotion Astringent Lotion Micro-Exfoliating
3. La Roche-Posay Effaclar DUO (+)
I got to say that the three-step products works wonders on my skin! My acne clears up for 2 weeks after I used them. What left is only the acne scars.
I did say that it really going well, but... I had to use the Astringent Lotion because they don't have any other toner on their Effaclar lines. Since it's an exfoliator, it also made my skin dehydrated and produce more oil.
So I'm using another hydrating toner (currently using COSRX Galactomyces Alcohol-Free Toner) right after I use the Astringent Lotion to keep my face hydrated and less oily during the day.
I think the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Lotion Astringent Lotion will work amazingly for oily skin type, like, really oily skin type. I will also recommend this product to people with oily skin.
Hope it helps!
